After Fiat Food we need another book from Saifedean: Fiat Medicine, together with his brother. It's also an important topic.

The prescription bot is a great way to look at it. Last time I saw a physician it was like I was talking to someone that was hypnotized. The doctor was overweight, he was drinking a Diet Coke, asked me some questions and then prescribed me a Z Pack. I asked him if I could change something in my diet instead and he looked at me like I was crazy. So instead I went to a naturopath, he tested me with kinesiology and said stop eating dairy. After years of continuously getting bronchitis and pneumonia it all went away and never returned because I took something out instead of putting something in, like a drug. The cost of taking out dairy, $0. What it would have cost if I was put on a drug, $1000’s year after year. I wish I was told to follow the incentives a long time ago. I wish this podcast was available in the 90’s

Good to know you both through this medium. Thank you both. I don't know if your father is still in this world. I'm curious to know his influence on you both in your values and also how Ahmad's deviation from mainstream fiat medicine would be received by him. Thank you.

Such excellent content-all of it! Especially, for me, the comments about diet, nutrition and restricting processed carbohydrates and sugar laden foods! The food industry is responsible for more health harm than can possibly be estimated! Then there’s the pharmaceutical industry which absolutely profits from nutritional ignorance and illness. 😢

About 5 years ago I learned from Tucker Goodritch that me being several years on keto/carnivore, allowed me to not get burned. I tested it and it is what happened. Since I have even tried to get inflammed by exposing myself to sunshine for the entire spring day in Finland. I no longer get burned but do get a fabulous tan. Never ever on a SADiet this was possible

I did not notice any covid symptoms, but hey, I am never sick anyway, as I do not desinfect my micobial environment. Six years of bioquantum hacking and carnivorism. I am a proud post covid antivaxxer.

The market always needs to cooperate with the human needs and give choices to the patient so I hope we can find an equilibrium between “fiat” medicine and “Bitcoin” medicine

It's a great scheme in the US. Liability insurance strongly encourages doctors prescribe standard treatment plans/meds supporting data that makes liability insurance providers money. Of course insurance providers make money in a variety of ways. Simply keeping their payouts down is one. The other is encouraging use of particular meds. Now the enabler: force US doctors to carry liability insurance. The result is these bland treatments that provide little creativity to the benefit of the patient consumer. Go to a country where medical services rep is high, and doctors are not required to carry liability insurance.

"Healthy people are those who live in healthy homes on a healthy diet; in an environment equally fit for birth, growth, work, healing, and dying... Healthy people need no bureaucratic interference to mate, give birth, share the human condition and die." - Ivan Dominic Illich

Saifedean it’s not sugar that causes diabetes. I eat Hagen daaz ice cream every night and I have zero risk of diabetes because I have a functional metabolism. Sugar is actually easy to metabolize. Like you I eat steak everyday as my main meal. But I don’t fear sugar anymore so long as ingredients don’t contain vegetable oils, soy, or any other unnatural ingredient. It’s the seed oils and sedentary lifestyles that cause diabetes. Inflammation and deconditioning.

All this talk of meat. Is that primarily red meat or atr there also benefits to eating a lot of pork. Would prefer a diet explanation over a religious one.
