What a great conversation between two based individuals.👍👍 (it is heartbreaking to think of this man having just lost his wife, probably just days after this conversation. 🙁 My condolences to Mr Massie. Thanks for all that you do for our country! Please take some time for yourself and your family. You are in my prayers.)

I lost over $70k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Natalie Strayer..

Interesting bit on math and economics. On the individual level the value of anything will vary but the market price is the aggregate of all individuals. While no individual is exactly the same human behavior follows the Gaussian distribution. For the first time in history we have a fixed monetary unit that can better reflect that aggregate value. It won't be an exact science but it is as scientific as measuring the orbit of a planet around a sun x amount of light years away.

Just a point about the reserve currency being the dollar beside its liquidly ,the dollar was put into that position because the main reason was the political stability of the United States...compared to other countries..but that doesn't seem to be the case in the Biden admin and you can see countries pulling away because of that..and now coming back because of trump.

Massie is spot on about Road to Serfdom, by the end Hayek promotes a notion of world governance to safeguard the liberty principles. Total fail. The other red flag is that Keynes and Hayek were lifelong friends. They appeared to have propped up a false dichotomy of Keynes' Malthusian top-down governance vs Hayek's pure bottom-up governance where private vices magically leads to public virtues. The American System of Economics makes a ton more sense to me.

The "running out of space/resources" problem shouldn't be laughed away IMO. It sucks because the loony tune lefties have ruined environmentalism, but biological populations grow exponentially until they run out of resources and establish a balance. We're still growing because we keep inventing new tech, but we're also consuming more valuable land that other megafauna could use. We've also impeded the migration patterns for thousands of species including the American Bison, who used to migrate from Mexico to Alaska every year.
@quantonomy5 ай бұрын
Ammous the constant argument is not good. If you take ratios between quantities the constant cancel. You just make measurement in terms of how a quantity changes relative to another. Constants are just a proportionality quantity. You can rescale them, and everything is the same. It is a very very weak argument.

I've made a few comments about how I think he's pandering, and get attacked because "I just don't understand the technology". I do understand, and fail to see how these tools will help a system that already suffers from a lack of accurate data.

To summarise the last part. You can't measure subjectivity. Like how do you measure love? Which unit would you use? Yet economist put subjectivity into mathematic formulas all the time. Like hedonic adjustments...
