I’d like to see a BSB 210-230 RR spring. In the 2023 PRI late model seminar the swift rep talks about why they feel the TH springs are better. It’s online. On a side note can you talk about load sticks and using them on the rear of a SS/HS. Great info as always.
@RichFife3 ай бұрын
Agreed. A 210-235# would be a little better for my needs/wants.

Jay... Wanted to ask or have you discuss the difference in the amount it takes to deflect the TH spring vs normal spring in the RR. Sportmods specifically with the IMCA rules forcing us to run the spring relativly straight up and down at ride height that results in the spring deflecting at attitude. We both know as a spirng deflects it loses rate. My thought was if the TH spring takes more energy to defelect (Not sure if it does or not, just my hypothisis) then that would add side bite with the spring pushing lateraly fighting to holding shape vs deflecting resulting in more side bite in the RR then a spring that deflects easier. Just a theory of mine. Let me know your thoughts? Yes, I watched the video to the end.
@jaynealgofastАй бұрын
Thanks for watching to the end, because of the softness this spring has I am guessing that it would not add to the rate. In general the more coil or the longer the rod the softer the spring.

Made it to the end. Nothing is as well made as it was 20-30-40 years. Even the people.

Always intrigued by the information you put out. It stimulates thought. Correct thought makes one fast. I made it to the end of the video. I need to know. I'm processing how to apply your tech to a "Hobby" class (south Texas). There is only so much "adjustment" we can do. I'm always looking out for your next video...keep em coming. Thanks

I'm here! I'm still trying to get a handle on all the terminology. Could you do some sketches while your lips move slowly.? Always thinking outside the box. Need to see the actual load and frequency at the tire contact patch. A new can of worms opened up. Have an idea on track bars that may blow everything kiddy wampus! God Bless Mike

I made it to the end! Thank you for great info! Can y’all help with more of a pure stock style car? We can run racing springs and stock mount shocks such as like the Bilstein Smx series and stuff like that.
@jaynealgofast3 ай бұрын
Sure thing! We build a 10 Series Shock, stock mounted, here is a link. www.bsbgofast.com/10-series-info

I wonder if the extra 10lbs on the axel tube the TH adds is something that makes it feel different to people that they aren’t taking into consideration.
@greglangley45183 ай бұрын
That's what I've been thinking. If you run those on both sides, that's about 20 pounds. Maybe it helps on smooth slick tracks. Seems like that could be bad for rough, but I'm not sure what's going on with spring frequency and resonance in that situation.
@jaynealgofast3 ай бұрын
Funny you say that when we 1st did a heavy tube we did it on the RR and it was good. Very good, everyone told use we were dumb and wanted it on the LR.
@greglangley45183 ай бұрын
@@jaynealgofast same can be said about the front shock rebound. Did you notice if a standard height spring rubber fits the tight helix? 🤔
