Thanks for the video. IMCA hobby Been running 13 inch rear springs and similar rates . Have gone as low as 175 in the RR and have run 100 lbs of split between rear springs . It's worth trying out if the car has less than 51 % rear. Car had 50.5 % rear .

I am okay with the rear split and I think you should look at increasing the RR spring, If you are getting more they 2 inches of travel then go to a 225 x 13.

Would be nice to see the exact same video but for the imca/usra stock cars

Why are the fendered cars in general over 900 lbs in rate on the frts?

What do you think would be a good rate for front springs (Hobby) (Stock car) both right and left.

I suppose it would depend on what you’re trying to accomplish. I have cars running 650-800 with positive results, using 5-6” travel on a 7” shock. but wonder if I’m missing something with a stiffer package. I would think there would be a rule of thumb that a car with x frt % requires x total spring rate.

How much rear % do you prefer in the outlaw factories?
@jaynealgofast

In an Outlaw class where you can add lead, I would be 53-55% but remember if you can't turn it is to much rear.

Mr Jay do you have or would u do anything for an asphalt Hobby Stock? 3050# No ride height rule or left side% 3/8 tight corner 1/2 flat 3/4 has med banking and has rather bumpy center which is a bit harsh on these tank of cars esp with stock location shock. (which 99% are Bilstein stock location) Thanks God bless to u as well 🙏🏻

10 Series we would run the SRT piston on them and need to work on the valving some together. Call me Monday and we can talk about it, yes I think we would be good.

WOW, this is a harder subject and I feel that in the past we kind of looked at leaf spring the wrong way, here is what I would try and why. Let me know what you think or anyone reading this. LR run a softer leaf, 125 or 150 this should decrease drive on that tire. (leaf springs make a lot of forward traction) RR, run a 225 or 250 to increase RR tire load allowing speed in the corner. We have done this before and it did work.

What you think on fronts springs

@jaynealgofast on a slick track do you think that heavy of a RR will allow the car to get over on it. My fear would be a very loose car coming out the corner due to the RR sliding and not digging. Currently I'm on a 225LR 175RR. Car rolls over hard on RR. Thank you for the response.
Stock Car Shocks and Springs per corner.
