....I think it's safe to say, ANYONE who watched "227" during it's run, KNOWS that Season 1-3 Sandra was the BEST Sandra! ...witty, independent, strong, sassy, funny, slick, exuberant....HATED when they "Chrissy Snow"-ed her in the 4th Season (she was gone in the 5th Season)..but, THAT'S no fault to Jackee's acting... a TRUE game- changer of a character, on 1980's TV......

Sandra was the show. My fave seasons 1-3. She has so many epic and funny episodes. It's so obvious she was the funniest cuz they gave her more episodes than Mary on the show. It wasn't the same with season 4 and 5. I can't stand those seasons. It was seen less and less of Sandra. Boring. That's why I only watch season 1-3. And only episodes when she comes back in season 5.

I agree with you about Season 5, even the episodes with Sandra in that season are rough to watch. However, there are alot of great Sandra moments in Season 4. It says alot they needed to bring in like 4 new characters in Season 5 to make up for the loss of Jackee and they just couldn't do it. The magic of the original cast just couldn't be duplicated.

Always loved the show, but Sandra added an over the top personality that really fitted the ensemble where everyone was needed. That said, the shoe without her or without Pearl or without any of the others would change the dynamic for the worse.
