I have CZ in rim and center fire, I have tikka and a bergara in center fire. Hands down CZ is the best. It is the most accurate, and to me the smoothness in the bolt is very noticeable on the CZ. I keep them all stock with their triggers turned down to 2lbs, it’s what I like. They have medium to high quality scopes. I just can’t say enough CZ is the best of the three. I just picked one up over a CZ 457 At-One, mainly for weight, as this will be a woods/field rifle, and backup rifle for our KYL shoots. Mine is shooting everything from CCI SV to SK LR very well, whereas my CZ is a bit more picky on ammo. I mean sub 1MOA even at 100 for a $500 rifle! Very impressed. I felt the action and trigger on the T1x was an improvement over the CZ. But I did like the CZ stock (Varmint) MUCH better.

Why would you ever upgrade a barrel on 22LR is what I wonder. I actually came across a CZ475 kit at the store with two barrels in the factory box. One is 17HMR and the other 22LR. Thought to myself, well it’s kinda cool but would you ever swap barrels after scope and all sighted in and shooting good and straight. I've used mine in base class with bulk eley ammo to take 2nd and 4th overall the last two months at my NRL22 match that usually has around 50 people shooting with many vudus (sp?) and some rimX. It shoots MOA or better with eley and cci SV. The stock is the only down side, but it isn't terrible.

I shoot Precision Bench rest so the T1x allows me to shoot Factory class, since it is under $500. Now if it weren't for a Winchester 52D I might take first place this year. The guy has shot 750 out of 750 twice this year. I beat him this month shooting 748 to his 747. I love my CZ but can't find any ammo that brings it into the same light as my T1x. You definitely can swap some things between T1x and T3x but will you? I have both, and only thing i swap between them is bipod, which you could swap between xxx-brand and Tikka. Otherwise really good rifles, even better with aftermarket stock. Only thing i would change is safety, i'd like to have 3-position safety. But that is what Sako is made for. If you are planning to buy both, i suggest to buy Picatinny rail for both, if you want to swap between scopes. T1x has 11mm rail and T3x (Lite etc.) has 13mm rail. I have had few problems with T1x magazines, mainly feeding problems. Few times i had to remove magazine and adjust the bullet in the magazine. Overall they are reliable and fine shooting rifles. Just my 2 cents here, thanks for your video. It was well made, i searched for this kind of videos before purchasing my own.

Those are slightly worse groups then my T1X gets off a bipod with CCI SV. They do require some action torque tuning to perform and it shows up in the group shapes you are getting (a few tight then a flier). I'll say this as well. At my last NRL22 match I saw over half the production rifles having feed problems, I was the only T1X and it's flawless. Mag changes are significantly faster than anything except a 700 platform action.

Curious if you tried to just adjust the trigger via the adjustment screw. I've got a T1X in an Oryx chassis and have adjusted the trigger to what's a nice (for me) crisp 2lbs. I was lucky enough to get a hold of the T1X just before COVID at a nice price. I really enjoy it, especially in the Oryx chassis. I can get sub .8 in, 10 round groups at 100 yards with ammo it likes (SK and Eley) using just a cheap UTG bipod and rear bag (and I don't pretend to be the most steady shot at 58 years old 😉). The only thing I'm not crazy about, well 2 things, are the silly plastic thread protector and the fairly short bolt handle. I do have a longer handle ready to go but can't for the life of me break the screw that's holding the original and I don't want to strip it. 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️. All that said tho, I'm thinking of also buying a 457 cause I'm enjoying shooting the .22 T1X more than I had imagined and I'm a variety is the spice of life, curious kinda guy (and a CZ handgun enthusiast). Thanks for your reviews & tests & demos - they're great.👍🏻 Gotta go grab a shirt!

Great video Josh. I did not know there were trigger options for the T1X other than the spring. It's really hard to find a Sako/Tikka barrel that doesn't shoot well. Just an aside to the value comments, in my limited experience, I have never shot a Sako/Tikka barrel that wasn't a very good shooter. I have seen less consistency with CZ factory barrels . Curious if anyone in the US can even find one. I went looking for one a few months ago and they were gone local and online. My LGS (a big store in DFW) said they might come back in Jan. Might. (I have a CZ, btw)

Common knowledge as of recent is vudoo rifles are the most accurate custom rimfire, traditional knowledge or at least here were I come from those custom Annie’s are the best. By any chance can you do a comparison of a vudoo vs the Annie.😊
@tylerorth28703 жыл бұрын
One is reliable to other isn’t, they all shoot with the right ammo.
@PitFitHuntFan3 жыл бұрын
@@tylerorth2870 which is more reliable? But yes, I agree that they are probably just as accurate and it also depends on the individual gun and rifle round taking out the shooter as a variable like fired from a fixed properly prepped setup. I never shot a vudoo but I’ve shot custom and standard Annie’s. And they shoot very tiny groups even with a variety of good ammo at 50 and 100meters. The only thing more accurate and consistent I’ve shoot is an Fx gen 1 pcp Airgun in .25 slugs running at 900fps. Those things with me behind it are more accurate at 50 and 100 than any custom rimfire I’ve shot, custom Annie’s, Cz 455, souped up ruger semis, and kimber. Never shot or even seen A vudoo or bergara and have yet to shoot a custom cz 457. 😁
@tylerorth28703 жыл бұрын
@@PitFitHuntFan I am a little bitter still about having 2 vudoos which both were unreliable. To me if a gun isn’t reliable it’s worthless. I have yet to see any Annie’s go down and CZ’s have proven to be vary reliable. Honestly accuracy has more to do with ammo than anything else, that is assuming the barrel and chamber are decent.
@PitFitHuntFan3 жыл бұрын
@@tylerorth2870 my friends Annie’s 54 custom and even a custom hunting model have all been very reliable for me as I get to use them a lot. Never had issues loading and ejecting. Both shoot very well and the hunting model shooting offhand is so balanced I can do confident and consistent head shots at 50meters and body shots at 75 to 100 on dove sized prey. Cant do that as confident and consistent with any other rimfire rifle I own or come across except custom and well balanced pcp rigs the owners specifically built with offhand shooting in mind.

Tikka T1x UPR (better stock) isn't available in US?
@PursuitofAccuracy3 жыл бұрын
It may be but i think the mtr is the better value gun by far. If your gonna look at the upr then it really is closer to the cz 457 vpt mtr or the bergara b14r which i think both offer more for the money. The 457 vpt comes with a stupid good manners stock and the bergara....well its 700 compatible so thats a huge win. But I have not personally seen a upr on the shelves

T1x comes in more variants then just MTR and the stock trigger is adjustable with a torx screw right behind it right from the factory.. Don't teach people when your facts aint straight. :) Best wishes from Sweden.

Not in the U.S. it doesn't. Might want to edit again.
@PursuitofAccuracy3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ken. The US doesnt have a ton of variants of these floating around, your basically stuck getting that 1 version of the mtr. If i said the trigger was not adjustable that may have been a mental mistake on my part as it is adjustable. I believe i even call the triggers a wash between the two implying they are of the same basic quality and adjustability. Im human and make mistakes like everyone else so apologize for any misinformation i may have portrayed.

Accuracy potential of the Tikka is for more than any rimfire I've seen . The action looks like a center fire benchrest action. Rigid with a large bedding surface. The rimfire ammo is the weak link in accuracy compared to the rifle. The the firearms designers at Tikka must be accuracy buffs.
@PursuitofAccuracy3 жыл бұрын
I think the tikka is a great rifle. Dont necessarily agree that its the best rimfire but its for sure a good one.

@@PursuitofAccuracy I do not own a precision bolt action rimfire but from my research don't think the Tikka can be beat. I have been pleáse with my old Remington 121 pump and Winchester model 61. They do what I need in the hunting fields.

@@PursuitofAccuracy I have witnessed a Marlin model 60 Simi auto tube fed rifle win a 50 yard hunter class bench rest match for score against Anshutz , Remington 40x and 541s and Winchester 52 bolt actions. No competitors in the match would sell their target rifles or traded for a Marlin model 60. That is the thing about mass produced rifles , sometimes it is the luck of the draw on accuracy of a firearms. There is always exceptions to the rules. Just from a design stand point , the Tikka has the potential for accuracy. I doubt there are many crooked shooting Tikka T1Xs. So far from what I have seen , the Tikka is a world beater.
