Sharon break grant eastenders

Evil Grant, twisted with hatred and aggression, is doing his best to make life at the Queen Vic, a living hell for everyone in his way. Sharon is so brave and dignified, in the way that she protects others from what is happening to her, at the hands of her abusive husband. Sharon is trying her best to make some, sort of sense of the whole mess but Grant, is hell bent on wrecking everything and everyone one around him. Whatever happened between Sharon and Phil, Sharon was always generous, kind, responsible, dignified and warm-hearted, if Grant had been a better husband, the affair with Phil, wouldn't have happened. Whatever has happened in the past, because of her persona and behavior Sharon is a real lady and the Queen of the Vic of her generation, as was Angie before her.

She was wrong to cheat, he was wrong to abuse her. It probably hurt that she cheated but he was cruel to her. Probably got messed up during the war. But he was cruel to Tiffany too saying she was too young for him but he mistreated her. Grant called Sharon awful names but Michelle has no right to tell grant what to do in his pub. She's out of order. He has a right to throw her out. It's his and Sharon's home, not hers. Sharon could go home with Michelle if she chose.

@@AS-wj1du Sorry, its a really long comment, but I love my Soaps. You make a good point about Grant being damaged or affected by his time as a Soldier, as a young man. Eastenders were very good at highlighting, how this aspect of someone's life or past can affect their temper and behavior. I think that Grant did love Sharon very much, and as a couple, they were very well suited, because they were very different from each other, and that was a part of the attraction and chemistry between the pair, but at the same time, they were both from a similar background, so they still related to each other. To be fair to Grant, it did rip him apart emotionally, to find out about the affair with Phil, maybe if it had not been Phil, maybe Grant wouldn't have been so furious. In my opinion Grant and Sharon are one of Soap's most iconic couples, and they are actually my favorite Eastenders couple of all time. Letitia Dean and Ross Kemp bought the chemistry and passion, of the two characters to life, both emotionally and physically, I don't think that two people could have been better cast for the roles, and this storyline highlights what good acting and natural talent can be found in a "Soap Opera". Sharon was glamorous, feminine and confident, whilst Grant, was masculine, would fly off the handle, and make loads of crazy mistakes. Although I described Grant as evil in my original comment, I only meant that, at that this point in the storyline, and although Sharon has done wrong, I was just putting myself in her shoes, and reacting to the aggression, that she was taking, but I was right to have used the words hatred and aggression, as that is what was happening to Sharon, without question or doubt. Having since watched all of the Grant Mitchell storylines, until Ross Kemp, left the role full time in 1999, overall there were times when Grant, could be very caring and loving. ironically, just before Grant finds out about Sharon and Phil, they had actually reached a really good point, in their relationship, but obviously in the world of Soap Opera, this wouldn't be for long. In my opinion, Grant and Sharon did love each other, but they wanted different things at different times. Also, in 1994 the Soap's were absolutely huge, they had basically replaced the British Comedy in terms of status and reaction, and there was a massive reaction, in the press from any big Soap storyline, as well as viewing figures touching the 15 to 20 Million mark, for some storylines or episodes. When this storyline went out, it was a very different culture from today, of endless TV channels, internet services, and downloads, most people just had the 4 terrestrial channels on the TV, my own family included, this storyline was written and acted to have a massive impact and it did. I didn't actually watch the episodes at the time, as I'd only have been 7, and my parents didn't watch Eastenders, but watching these episodes, years later as an adult, proves to me, just how good and involved the writing and acting, on television years ago was, without being extreme. As for Susan Tully, who played Michelle Fowler, she was also another brilliant actress from the time, and pretty much everyone, who was in Soap in those days was. Sharon and Michelle's friendship, was a big part of the program, and Grant and Michelle, always disliked each other, each feeling that, the other was a bad influence on Sharon. The closeness and bond of Sharon and Michelle, is amplified at this point, as Michelle feels, that she is the only one, looking out for Sharon.

Grant was an evil man. What he did to Sharon and Tiffany, he never paid for. In fact, the show rewarded him with a happy ending.
