I've been doing some research on off the grid living, looking at yurts, tiny houses and checked out Fork Creek Cabins which were $80 thousand to low end $59 thousand which is a little too much for my pocket book. But the cabins were absolutely beautiful completely furnished fire places, granite, queen bed, beautiful cabinets and closets, washer/dryer, hot water heater, large screen tv's. Then, I saw this video while browsing KZbin and heard the boy say Atglen. Wow,the town right next to me, a place that I have driven by plenty of times just thinking they sold storage barns. So, I took a tour of the Cabin, it seemed to be very nice and very well constructed and very sturdy. I asked the price of the smallest one with no appliances the salesman said, around $40 thousand and all their homes were coded for building and living in. Whereas, Fork Creek Cabins if you want to live in them you need to make sure your town or area you live allows you to live in them permanently. The Zook Cabins were much larger, not a modern looking as the other but very nice also.

Looks great! I live in France now but am from the USA. YT is not letting me share videos for some reason recently, but I will uprate this. Prefab and wood/log cabins are not much appreciated here. I don't know why, they all want stone and very thick walls. That seems kind of a waste, as the climate is so harsh in places, if you don't upkeep it all falls down anyway! This looks better planned and more comfy than many French houses! Hee hee hee hee!

He is not bad. Clean cut and speaks of many nice features. However I would like to know more things like how big is the water heater?Insulation? Delivery? Set up fees. So that’s really not a bad salesmen he just needs to convey the particulars.

+Ca Coast ..... The reason I said I need the extra room is because I'm handicapped... make bake goods for extra money ( wedding cakes, Thanksgiving and Christmas deserts). I also do wedding and funeral flowers). I have a son that might stay with me. I need a kitchen pantry with a nice island and double wall ovens. I also need room for a sleeper sofa and my rocker ecliner with a fireplace or pelett stove and some place to put a nice size TV .

All I can say is at 1:43 when he closes the door the camera mic picked up the pressure change. That cabin is SEALED up tight... He is selling the quality and I just heard he is telling the truth so far....

what is the square footage dont know how to calculate it with footage size. nice walls I wonder if there is a cover you can put over the stove when cooking to keep grease from splattering all over the ceiling and walls to cut down on cleaning them. it is very beautiful, love the lighter colored wood and how shiny it looks. seems to be adequate size until you put all your stuff/furniture in.

It's not logs. It's 6" log SIDING, so half logs are on the outside. Not so bad because it makes it easier to really insulate the inside, well.

Good job for the most part. How much and I'm in the market for my KY hunting area so the toilet and bathroom would be useless. So how about a place like that with two small bedrooms and a tiny kitchen with a living room. No plumbing or electric.

What he fails to tell you is it's built inside with unskilled labor, generally they don't even know how to read a tape!, and under a time limit. I worked long ago in the industry, modular, and speed is much more important they quality. But if your'e really interested in this type of home why not check it out in person? Check how close the joints are, do they run siding to the trim boards or just cover it leaving a space for bugs? Check what other buyers say maybe this is right for you.

What is the cost, of this cabin/home?...The Dudes full of picturesque stories on the potential pleasure and joy of owning this fine box. But...didn't show the details, or have the camera, pan around, so we could actually see the place. How about this..."What kind of water heater is in it. Can it be hooked up to sewer or septic system. Does it ship in pieces or whole? Do you ship out of state. Are you taking Mindy to the school dance,...ugh...enough.

Exactly. You can get a sales pitch once they get you interested in the product. I still haven't seen the product yet I know that if I contact this company I will get a second sales pitch to go along with the initial one and still won't see the cabin. Their are a few people on here that have a hard time accepting that the company made a poor decision in the creation of this video. It's as if they were trying to give this guy a 'platform' to prove himself, rather than making a video to sell their product. I feel no 'excite' to buy.

Well after reading through all the comments seems this young guy really got a lot of unconstructive criticism, Let me try to and help you out, you got a great looking cabin, if you take out half of the speech and just show the cabin as it appears, (slower panning with the camera from different sides of the rooms) you kinda come off like a used car salesman and are over selling this cabin like if you don't make this sale your dad's going to go into foreclosure on his business............trust me you have a great product to sell, anyone looking for a cabin will really be interested...........keep it simple you will do great...........maybe have a couple of beers before the next video you seem a little nervous............otherwise great job.............I just favorited your video as I am looking around for one

we looked at their website and this cabin runs about $60,000 for 469 square feet not including the site prep to put the place up. for that price you can buy a real modular home and at least triple the square footage and not have the ugly walls. Buying something like this is a waste of money. you could almost have a real cabin built for that price.

Drywall is 3x cheaper than pine board. I can get a 600sqft log siding cabin for $14,000 not finished inside. And wood floors are expencive. Vinyl floors are cheaper, and carpet.

So 22x36 yields just 1 bedroom and 1 bath? As a sales trainer I'm forced to comment re: the comments. He was doing a beginners job of delivering the "Feature, Function, Benefit" analysis. As his knowledge grows so will his analysis. Tip, this type presentation must be keyed to the customers percieved needs.

So many of you commenting negatively about the salesman in this video are rude, ugly, bitter and ignorant. This young man is attempting to do what is expected of him, to sell faux cabin vacation homes. Truth is, real LOG cabins are a royal pain to caulk every single year as the logs continue to lose their moisture from inept companies that do not dry the wood properly. Waiting 7+ years for logs to naturally dry out is not cost efficient to the seller unless they have access to hundreds of acres for their product. It didn't look like a bad deal for $80K, really. With heater boards and central A/C, this could be a nice year round home for empty nesters.

Check out videos on "how to" build cabins and you still have to check with local folks to determine what permit is needed or not needed. There is a lot of information out there about DIY stuff. There was one where a lady built a house out of used scrap and lumber/supplies somebody else did not want. I wish I could remember he name. She had a blog too.
