Hi, I find reading the instructions first a good idea even if I decide to ignore them later. You have done a really good job with the kit, a type that I've not had dealings yet as I model in 1:87 rather than 1:76. That 10% in growth does make a difference.

Thanks Dave. I've enjoyed building the kit. Not sure if I could manage the smaller (1:87 scale). The instructions with the kit were very basic (mainly just a set of pictures) but useful. though the 'Fair Price' instructions do say "As this is a scratch aid kit, its ultimately up to you how you put things together ..." 🙂

It would’ve been helpful to explain what kitbashing means, more so when the creator admits to being a novice, it’s how we get on together and keep the criticism constructive and polite, as we’re all learning. I’m a returning modeller after a 20 year break, having in the past scratchbuilt in card stock, plywood, plaster, and styrene. On my return, I’m now kitbashing and detailing kits from manufacturers such as Dapol, Heljan, Faller and Kibri, none of them will be built as standard kits. I’m here to catch up with technology, watching various videos on laser cut kits, and still taking tips and tricks from creators, novice or experienced, plus reading through the comments section for the similar suggestions on how to approach particular obstacles, or where skills are open to improvement, all in a constructive manner. Anyway, I’m subscribing, and hoping to learn more from this kind of creator, because a fresh mind tends to see things that experienced modellers can miss. I haven’t yet purchased a laser kit, due to suffering from “unfinished project syndrome” Thank you.
