I really like drunk Glenn. You can see more of who he is behind his ….persona?. It’s lovely. He does the sitting knees together feet out thing- like he’s kinda regressed to a more childish sweet loving state. They’re right he does switch up but in a great way. I think most fans of the show wonder how much they’re like each of the characters (or actors) right? Im usually a high percent Charlie. I just went up Glennpercent. But I also don’t wink so that’s evening things out rob ratio. I prob shouldn’t have drank along with the show. But look at my name. Wtf was I suppose to do. Yno Nobody calls me Patrick 😀

Well it's gonna be at least 3 years until they've gone over every episode, and that's only if they don't take any breaks. But I definitely agree. I'm still sad about the Talking Sopranos podcast being over. I looked forward to it every Monday and even though I love these episodes, they don't quite fill the void left by Talking Sopranos. Especially because those were at least 2 hours long and they went over each episode in great detail and had dozens of guests come on to talk about the show.

Seeing Glenn get so emotional after Charlie's song, and after they talked about his quitting the show multiple times, reminded me of another podcast episode (don't remember which one!) when he talked about feeling uncertain that he wanted this show to be the biggest part of his acting career, he had anticipated having more serious roles after training at Juliard. Based on that, I'm guessing Charlies's lyric about appearing bleak but actually sunny and being known for this "til our very last days" really resonated with Glenn. I love this show and pod, can't wait for more of both!

@@jamesmcshane1914 For sure. I legitimately think Kailtyn is in the upper echelon of comedic actresses. The constant hazing about her body type yet she still went with it all the entire time. Then again, she's an attractive person so it should have been obvious to her that it was all in the name of comedy, even if she doesn't think of herself as attractive. I don't know for sure, but I'm assuming she had to wear a backbrace when she was in middle school, so her being able to use that pain and embarrassment to make the show funnier is a real credit to her commitment and sense of self. Love all of these people. I hope they invite more actors onto the podcast, like Danny, Artemis, David Hornsby, etc.

1:02:36 I go back to listen to Charlie’s outro often and I’ll scan the comments every time- The ones im paying attention to all read how absolutely lovely, poetic, sincere - not to mention- seemingly off the cuff his lyrics are but I think there’s another aspect that really makes it something special: What gets me every time is the positive nature of the lyrics in high contrast to the tone he applies them in- making this particular song reallllly powerful as an improvised composition. I just love it.

What I find the most wild about it is how he says he doesn't know how to play other peoples music, he mentions he learned a neil young song but doesn't really know any songs by others. I don't think he even knows what chords he plays which boggles my mind

This is what you said, Charlie. “We came to be funny But we searched for the truth. We told some yarns (stories). Got long in the tooth But life’s just that way If you’re lucky that is I guess I’m just foolish For livin’ in bliss. For I am happy I guess that make me awfully sunny And thats why we’re here. For we are sunny even though we seem bleak Sometimes it may appear But we are sunny because we’re hopeful In a way, and were honest with each other, and I guess that’s just the way, we appear. We are sunny in our way and this will be, what we’re known for until our very, last day” There are so many ways to interpret this drunkenly-improvised lyrical brilliance within the context of this episode, the context of the show IASIP and within their lives and how comedy is an outlet for each of them and bond between them. It is a manifesto, of sorts, of their (Rob, Glenn, Charlie) stated goals as artists which is to channel suffering and pain into joy and laughter for people and themselves. Charlie absorbed all the good vibes in that room along with all that bourbon and then released that bottled up emotion in the most masculine way he could, a topic they ironically joke about early in the episode when Charlie and Rob are tooling on the guitars. Charlie’s outpouring of emotion came so naturally in his browned-out state, that it caught everyone one else off guard and brought them to tears and of course Charlie is totally confused about why everyone is crying when he opens his eyes. What a heartwarming end to this special episode. To all the comments saying they should do more or longer episodes like this, think for a second what you are asking. Believe me, the novelty will wear off when your favorite comedians are shitfaced drunk all the time. They aren’t characters in a TV show. They have families and careers. Let this be a rare and anticipated occurrence so that their kidneys don’t shrivel and shrink. …I meant “livers” 🤣

What a beautifully put comment. My girlfriend just started watching this show and she loves the cast already. I always wonder how people will react to this show but for me it’s an all time fav and love the main 5 so much and Megan is such an amazing writer on this and mythic quest

Every male dominated podcast has a useless female board op. It's honestly beyond cringe that the boys did this when they already have tons of talented females in the show.
