Fiadh is a more common spelling over Faidh I think. (I'm Irish and called Aoife, with a Méabh - Irish spelling of Maeve- so I fully appreciate the tricky Irish spellings haha). I moved to England 8 years ago and love that Irish names are on the rise now around the world.

I had a great aunt Honey, our family always loved that name. She was quite a character so sweet. Also reading the book woman's daughter, who's name is Honey and she is born in the 40s. One of my friends moms name is Honey and I’ve always loved it. She’s literal sunshine in a person. I just had a baby girl three weeks ago and I wanted to name her Cora, but my partner didn’t love it. We almost went with Clara but decided on Claire Elise. We already have an Ines Sofia. I also love Alina that one was a top contender! If we have a third girl I’d love Alina or Melina.

I think Doris is ready for revival, but if you're not a fan of it you could use a named with -dor in it, like Theodora, Cleodora, Isadora, Eldora, Pandora, etc. Or you could use a name with an ocean meaning, like Cordelia, Ginevra, Marin, Nerissa, etc.

My first name, not a nickname, is Dodie. Pronounced doe dee. Almost never is it pronounced or written correctly. Our youngest Golden Retrievers name is Autumn Willow, she was born in September. We have a friend whose name is Phoenix. She had a baby girl that she named Ember. I think the correlation between the two names is really cool. Would work well for twins also.

@SJ Strum Thank you. When I was young I did not care for my name. Because it drew attention attention, which I didn't like. People always thought it was a nickname for Dorothy. In my case, no it is not. Believe me, I am no Dorothy. When I got older and came across people who used Dodie as a nickname. I didn't like it. I was used to no one having "my name." Lol

I named my daughter Kendal, which I consider a uni-sex name. I would much rather have a unique name that causes a person to pause and think about it rather than a common one like Sara or Jessica.

@Cody Dody I really love the unisex names. I've known several Cody's and Jody's, both of whom were unisex names, even when I was a kid. Like I said, as a kid, I did not want to be noticed as anything 'different'. I wanted a name like Cindy or Debbie. A name everyone knew and knew how to spell and pronounce. When I became a teenager, I realized that normal and ordinary were on a huge sliding scale. Then I liked having a unique name. With our children, we chose names that we liked best. We named our daughter Jennifer a very common name. We named our son Danzer a very uncommon name. If he had been a girl. His name would have been Kazmaray, another very uncommon name.

It never fails.. when I introduce myself to people they will always ask me to repeat my name bc they aren’t sure if they heard the name Shyanne or my actual name which is “Shine.” I don’t know if it’s a rare name but most people I encounter act like it is. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ve always loved the first name you mentioned.. Aubrey. The name also reminds me of the 70’s song of the same name written by David Gates and made popular by the band Bread. I love the name Aubrey. There was one in my family in the late 1800s but like it for girls too. Brie Larson has made Brie a cool nickname too. Marley I really like. I know you liked Marlowe a while ago and Marley could be a nickname for that. You mentioned harvest as linked to autumn at the end and I think it would make a cool boys name with nickname Harvey. I love Dorothy too. Made more modern in my mind by the bucket list family. I like the nickname dory too.
