In South Africa we usually spell Thandi without the E, and its pronounced a bit differently. We say 'taan-dee', with a longer softer 'a' sound (rather than sounding like the word 'and'). So happy to see a South African name on the list though! Would love to you to do a list of them, since we have so many different languages to draw our names from xx

I love ie names! But I prefer them as nicknames personally because I love long names. Stevie, Frankie, Danie, Freddie, Eddie and Winnie are some of my favorites. What's so good about them is they can be unisex!

You’ve mentioned so many alternatives to the very popular Amelia but I haven’t heard Amalia on one of your lists before. It’s more common in Spanish speaking countries now but is of Germanic origin. It’s one of my favorite girl names ever
