The thing people don't understand about these tests, is that it doesn't measure what all is in your background, just the genetics you've personally inherited. this is why full siblings can have differing results. so taking the average of your parents doesn't actually equate to what you are

u.s old glory I am curious to know what “race” you are? The inferiority complex just shows very time. The reason any racist spends so much time trying to make themselves appear superior is because deep down they know the truth. Saying mixed people are usually beautiful/fact is not saying others are not. I think all the variety that we have in the world is great. It’s important. It makes everything more interesting. What is not ok, is for one group to think they are better than the rest.

Nomada Sin Rumbo the "asian eyes" is actually a very typical,common west african feature. For instance, look at pictures of "Fon" people and you will see it :) most haitians have Fon ancestry, and Many Dominicans too (from the Dahomey empire, one of the largest groups of people forced as slaves to come over to the island) but its also a feature amongst other west africans and sub saharan africans in general.

Supposedly, one gets half of their dna from each parent so it would be impossible to have a percentage that is greater than both of one's parents.
@bre_me8 жыл бұрын
That's assuming both parents are fully one race, if they're mixed, they can pass down some genes from one race and not from another
@stephenwadsworth64568 жыл бұрын
Each egg and sperm has a complete copy of the dna code. The reproductive process takes one half of the dna code of each and makes a new dna code. Of the new dna code, it is impossible to have a percentage of the markers that is greater than the markers that is contained in each of the two dna codes. To help explain it a different way, take two jars of 100 marbles with two different colors. Take half of the marbles from each jar to make a new jar of 100 marbles. In the new jar, it is impossible to have more than 50% of either color in the new jar.
@stephenwadsworth64568 жыл бұрын

@ReginaldVannison77778 жыл бұрын
Thank You! The reason for me asking is b/c according to God, the nationality of the father determines our Race & Identity...Not the mother, nor the area we were born from! For Example: if your father is black, that means you're 100% black...If your father is dominican, then you're 100% dominican, etc- *Read: 1611 KJV Num **1:18**!* Although a DNA test can determine who your father is, it can not determine what nationality you are- Read: 1st Tim 1:4! DNA is nothing more than a *so-called European Concept use to confuse ppl, so that the Children of Israel (so-called negroes, hispanics & n. amer) never find out who they truly are- Read: Psa 83:1-9!* www.TheComforter.info John 8:32 "And ye shall know the TRUTH, and the truth shall make you FREE." *Shalom Israel/Family...1Love!!!!*

DNA is funny thing, as you clearly see your parents don't necessarily determine you mixture.
@axskylord64618 жыл бұрын
They actually do, you get 50% from you mother and 50% from your father, however during the fertilization process the genes are distributed randomly as if they were cards, so you could inherit from your parents different genes than your siblings. For instance, her father is 27% African while her mother is 20% that makes 47% out of 100%, so she might have inherited from a minimum of 0% African to maximum of 47%. hence hypothetically she may have a sibling who is 3% African, other that is 24% African and other who is 45% African, all because those genes are assigned randomly during fertilization.
@melissacorrea58527 жыл бұрын

Ok, tremendo.

You don't get half of everything each of your parents have...if one parent has a very small amount of DNA from a particular ethnicity, it is possible that you could not inherit that bit of DNA and your sibling could get it...or none of you could get it and then the DNA is lost. It doesn't mean you don't have ancestors from those places, just that you didn't get DNA from them. You could have more or less of different types of DNA from your parents than your siblings...if we all got half of everything each of our parents had, we would all be like identical twins with the exact same DNA.
