In 24:45, after taking the log, did Jeffrey forgot to put the minus "-" on equation right side?

Yes, but Arrhenius also said that acids and bases combine to make water, and nobody believed it! Now every basic chem book has a chapter called Arrhenius Acids and Bases.

Is there a relationship between vacancy formation energy and the melting/sublimation point of a solid? I found several papers on the topic, but they were all behind a paywall. I'm just wondering if perhaps the relationship is simple enough to illuminate a connection between the processes of freezing and melting
