Stainless steel cup and a really small sieve (or a cup with holes) in the bath is my toddlers go too!

Oh I love that! It's so simple but probably much more fun for them anyway.

@YesiIbarra I like that it can be used for washing hair, as a toothbrush holder or to drink from if needs be.

This is great. I'm so glad people are talking about this. The marketing to new parents is just awful. They are in a vulnerable state of uncertainty. Additionally, most of them are going to have a baby shower, which is a great way to guarantee sales for these baby businesses... It seems a lot of couples are even hesitant about having kids in part because of the sheer amount of stuff they think they'll "have" to buy for them. But most of it is simply not necessary! I would add disposable diapers to this list. If you can find a workshop near you, cloth diapering is really not that hard and can save you loads (especially with each additional kid!) The only one on the list I would personally dispute is the nursing pillow. If you breastfeed full-time for over a year with your child, a sturdy nursing pillow is 100% worth it. I got a My Brest Friend secondhand and I used it every day. It saved my back!!

So true! It really can be overwhelming. I only cloth diapered at home, but I definitely believe it has easily saved us thousands, especially now that I'm going into my third pregnancy. Thanks for sharing your experience with the nursing pillow. It is helpful to get different points of view. ❤

Absolutely! there's lot of items we don't or gonna need to start with. I haven't used some stuff from baby registry gifts so I was able to donated to friends or people in need but then I had to hold it cause I found out my old sister is pregnant. all the stuff I have is gonna be for her tho 😊🙏

Amazing video! Can anyone share their thoughts on what size bottle to go with for a newborn? Is it really necessary to buy those small ones before getting the larger sizes a few months later, or are the bigger ones fine to use from day 1?

Hi, I used to breastfeed my baby since day 1 and give her some formula from hospital with smaller bottle 10-40 oz. When she turned 1 month I started with regular baby bottle 9 oz lets say small size to start with. if u looking for advices good baby bottle brand let me know 😊

@idzellblanc thank you for your reply! Which brand of bottel would you recommend?

I only bought two sizes. I had the 4oz Comotomo and the 8oz. You can just change out the nipple sizes as they grow older instead and need faster flow. In theory, you could probably go straight to an 8oz and avoid having to buy small ones, but then you'd still have to buy the 0-3m nipples, so I just went with the 4oz bottle since its sold together.

What's the app you use to scan products? I downloaded the Healthy Living EWG app but curious to compare!

I use Yuka, but since the score is subjective, I mainly use it to learn about the ingredients list.

what app are you using for check the skin products?

It's called Yuka. The score is subjective though, so I use it mainly to check for the ingredients list and quick info about those ingredients.
