230 AM low tide buried on Clam Beds

Crew Cab Ford 1 ton 2 wheel drive buried low tide on Clam beds . Driver was beachcombing and saw a seal down by the waters edge . He pulled out on Clam Beds to get a closer look and it was game over .
This is the 2nd time I have seen snow chains installed after getting stuck . It doesn't work . He tried airing down but it would appear he got a bit carried away 3 lbs per rear tire . Luck for him he had a portable air compressor with him . He aired up to 10 lbs and I followed him 1.5 miles to Bolstad approach .

I cant believe how inconsiderate some people are, it was nice enough of you just to drive out that far (not to mention the time of day) and put yourself and your rig at risk of being swept out to sea or sinking in the wet sand, but then people just take their sweet time doing things.

@@HILLAUTOBODY Your right on that. If it happened to be his first time driving on sand or near the ocean he probably had no idea about the tide rasing and lowering. He just knew he was stuck. In Indiana if you get stuck off road they just leave it, there are no off road recovery companies. But in states where the tide raises and lowers that would be an emergency situation.

You put a 2 wheel drive in wet sand , let it sit for a few minutes and you most likely will need help getting out .

@@HILLAUTOBODY Ive had it happen in my 2wd Ranger in course dry sand. I got lucky and realized I had spun before digging a rut and aired down and it came right out. Once you start spinning anything is gonna be f*cked.

Got to give credit for trying . Being from Idah they at least new how to install chains . Most folks from the coast have never had to put chains on .

@@geohill9305 thats true, I give them credit for putting chains on, their not lazy because they sure as hell aren't easy on dry land to install, I can't imagine putting them on in wet sand with a hi-lift jack. It would be near impossible without a large board or something like they had to distribute the weight of the truck, the jack would just sink
