I suggest tapping on yourself, forgive yourself, address what they did, address what you saw, address how you think they feel, and everything else and make peace with every situation. Peace Robert

i am doing eft for 5 month now and of course things changing in me. i am a christian and i can't believe how free i feel on the inside. i have been reading the gospels and i really agree on your interpretations. Jesus said it Himself, you are making it simple. i am working on my emotional intelligence, and still can't believe, that i can really live a free life on the inside. i still feel that it can't be true and that i should feel something bad! ah, but i so love to be free, thank you:)

This might be my all time fav of Robert's videos on KZbin. Why didn't I see this months ago if not YEARS!? It's easy to think and feel how every other negative thought or emotion or feeling stems from ANGER...and wanting to correct everyone that comes along that I think will hurt me like I was when I was a kid, or they break my 'boundary'. Thanks for posting, and would love to see more on the topic.

It is too much work trying to hold up those boundaries but if you change you then they will naturally be there because you are a different person. We do not run from our problems but change our internal reaction to the world. Peace

This has been the most freeing experience of tapping for me. I have been able to set Firm boundaries out of love. But still keep my self respect and allow others to have theirs, if they have any. And if they don't, I don't feel obligated to cowtow to their demands. I can walk away, having done the right thing, knowing that I only carry my luggage and none of theirs. That is a real load off. An exilliorating freedom that I have only recently experienced.

Anger is secondary emotion. Anger scares and shuts others and ourselves down. not necessary to feel anger. Also boundary isn't a wall it's a guard rail haha :)
@ValorConsulting1
@ValorConsulting1 11 жыл бұрын
I agree with everything in this video except the use of the term boundary to describe "wall." Boundaries are beautiful and healthy things. They mark the difference between me and you. They show this is where I end and you begin. You must have strong, healthy boundaries to be a "differentiated" person. It is important not to confuse strong boundaries with an inability to feel oneness. It's like this: I have strong boundaries. I may be able to love you unconditionally. But I won't let you use my toothbrush.

There is a place for self-defense in life, and I do hope those who are dealing with this, do not believe one must receive a message here, there is no place for self-defense, for there surely is; however, self-defense cannot be used by anyone, from a sense of anger. As a matter of fact, all true self-defense must have the cerebral cortex in charge, and not the amygdala, or the seat of the emotions. We must not allow emotions to bring self-defense - it is both destructive and dysfunctional!

Interesting perspective on boundaries. I had never looked at them as locking the hurt and anger inside.I do feel that boundaries can be a healthy thing to put up temporarily WHILE we work on ourselves, especially if the external stimulus is constant and overwhelming. and we just need some space to breathe...and tap :-)

The best defense is to not be available for other's to attack or dump on. "Fighting back" is a folly. Physically a person must defend themselves, but emotionally seems best to me to disengage by any means necessary.

good point about hurt... and being trained to feel hurt, rather than anger. A lot of us might feel hoodwinked for ages!- into believing we should work at expressing, and/ or feeling anger. ( and I have to say, i have seen people whoappear to undergo a cleansing and literal revitalization after having a blowup... that’s weird to experience as the ‘ blowupee’, the one who feels shattered by anger.) But that’s nonsense.. the idea that anger is a good thing. When you strip appear the costume of it, and the cloak, which can be impressive, it really all goes back to various forms of self-hatred, self-denial, self-abuse, and then some of this is projected largely as a defense. feelings turned inward. that acidify the body. There’s no one really “home” but one’s self, and no one to blame, ... which this work makes crystal clear. and we could go further, and say all that ( the self) is elaborate and cumulative story-telling ....✨ such good work, FEFT.

Practical Teachings of Jesus applied to everyday living or just good sense. Doing what he says, forgive, hold no judgments, don't take things so personal, and your value doesn't come from outside forces but one; your alignment with these principles. The world believes you should suffer and stay in it and religion teaches that too. I choose, "life and life more abundantly," and it starts with what you hold within you. The real truth (Gospel) Peace Robert

Robert so eloquently phrased it; most of us are "emotionally stupid". :-). As such, we are often misled in established beliefs and teachings. I feel anger is a viable part of our emotional spectrum and it is there for a reason. Anger is an emotional cue and communication, which says I don't like what just happened or how I was treated. It serves by prompting us to seek resolution (in healthy terms) or relief (in unhealthy terms) to the issue. Perhaps the problem is not anger itself but in the reaction to anger, expression of it and corking of it. Emotionally stunted people lash out and seek relief in harmful expressions. When we see most of the population is operating in the negative, practicing anger avoidance or fear of anger is clearly an inadequate gauze used to dress and suppress everyone without offering disinfecting first.

We create our own thoughts and hence all other associated emotions like anger, hatred, jealousy, or good ones like love, warmth, peace etc. :) Once we learn to control our thoughts and mind, we will master the whole game of life. We should stop allowing others to press our buttons.

Anger is extremely caustic, maybe one of the worst of the acid-creating stuck emotions, so to speak, or better : constellations of emotion, of which anger is like the cloak. It wears a cloak. Sometimes it swirls in a flourish. picture the cloak. Some very wise and compassionate beings CAN express “anger” in such a clean way, that it has no daggers to it. it is not caustic, but rather only an immediate flare, without hidden bombs. it does not wound, instead it might momentarily cause a bright white clarity. However, the expression of anger is almost always out of control, in that it is, like that man said, a cover, or a ‘step up’ from a deeper depression, sadness, helplessness, etc. on the scale of evolving emotional states, or levels.

Control should never feature in the strategy to eliminate Hurt & Pain. Control is used, by the unitiated, to manage fear - fear is an emotion and the whole idea is to eliminate fear or emotions. Once you have succeeded in eliminating emotion there is nothing to fear and, therefore, nothing to control.

Why not see thru the me/my illusion? One IS the feeling, not i am feeling xyz. If 'l' created anger, or needs protecting, 'l' will forever feel justified. There is no l.

Well, Exactly, if you catch your child with 50 pounds of black tar heroin in his bedroom closet, you might naturally feel angry. One can feel angry and desperately want to and deeply understand how to do the right thing. Anger is natural... If a stranger comes after you with a steak knife, your anger is going to allow you to pick up the machete and stop the attack!.. Overall...Yes indeed...An anger exists for the majority of human beings that is senseless and disorganized to a certain degree.
