This is perfect! You are so gifted! I'm thinking of doing this with my daughter's hair. You said in another video it lasts 12 weeks. Can you please do a video on maintenance, or even just a quick description in the comment section? Every time I do regular box braids or twists, her roots get frizzy and lock with each other. I think it may partly be the way I'm maintaining them. Any info would be appreciated! Thank you so much!!
@Beautycanbraid

Amber Stephens it probably the texture of her that causes that . U may have to retouch her edges more often or wrap them at night .
@amberstephens6444
@amberstephens6444 7 жыл бұрын
Beautycanbraid, yes, you are probably right. Her hair is 4c. If I wrap it with the synthetic hair as your videos show, will that be enough to keep the roots happy? I've never wrapped her hair with amything, just leave the braids or twists as is. I usually keep it in cornrows, actually, as her hair is very dry. She loves her hair "down" and would love this look. Just wasn't sure about things like swimming or other general maintenance. (Although we use a swim cap typically, if I added a lot more bulk to her hair, her swim cap may not fit.)

I'm glad you mentioned separating the hair and laying it out beforehand to ensure are braids are the same density. Also, keeping the 3 legs with equal density to ensure all strands of the braids are even is a huge point that people tend to be laxed with.

I'm a professional braider I've been braiding 26 years. I stopped using bees wax about 10 years ago because it makes the hair lock from the build up it makes the braids hold. I like Let's jam. I have clients that are nurses so sometimes it 3 months before they take the hair down. If the person takes the braids down in a reasonable time then the wax is OK. A lot of people send me pics of your styles as examples of what they want. Love your channel. I'm just starting one.

Tink_Fatty I am the same way. I've been braiding since I was 12 by watching my sister and her friends. Of course I sucked at first but as the years gone by I learned how to braid and not pull braid to make it tight. I learned other techniques then and now. Esp now with all of the different techniques out. I dont keep weave in very long so I rather do my own & im picky too.
