235 Aaron's Story 23rd of September 2010 Part 2

The Story of Aaron Livesy from Itv's soap opera Emmerdale.
Synopsis: Aaron is gobsmacked when he finds Clyde in such a state. When Pearl mentions seeing Mickey with a dog earlier, Aaron is hell-bent on revenge. Jackson stops Aaron from going after Mickey, but is worried when Paddy reveals things don't look good for Clyde.
Later, Aaron's devastated when Paddy has to give Clyde the injection. Helpless, Paddy pulls a heartbroken Aaron into him as he sobs at the loss of his dog. Will this teach Aaron a lesson or will he seek revenge?

Strange watching the exchange with Paddy about being his dad now that his real dad is back. When he says "you're better than my dad." my heart just breaks. Especially the look on Aaron's face when Paddy says" If I had been your dad, things would have been different. You would have been different."

+Leigh Black I was thinking the exact same thing. It's so clever how they've picked up bits and pieces from before and woven them all together, and there's some stuff about Aaron that never quite made sense until the newer storyline came about and we got to see the full picture. Sometimes I wonder if they didn't always have it in mind back then, even though they didn't plan to play it out, because there are a fair few moments where knowing it things make more sense.

I dont care what anyone says, he's 18, he's still a kid. He's never loved anyone or anything like he did with Clyde. And he may of gone to Mickeys with Clyde, but he never used his dog to hurt Mickeys dog. Where as Mickey did.

And by the way, Aaron may have brought Clyde over to intimidate Mickey, but it was Mickey who killed Clyde, not Aaron! Mickey was psychotic enough to encourage his dog to kill another living creature! So if you are applauding Mickey for this, then I seriously question your mental status! What kind of person would kill a living thing over something like a car or money, or better yet his pride! Now that in my opinion is the definition of psychotic and no Mickey did not have a right to kill a living creature because he was pissed off over a car, etc.! Aaron did not in fact kill anything! Aaron just made a stupid choice, but Mickey made the decision to kill another living thing! So yeah, I'm still blaming Mickey for Clyde's death! Because even though Aaron is not totally innocent in this, Mickey killed the dog! A living creature for god's sake, versus a car or money or fucking pride. And yeah in terms of pride, Aaron has a lot of it as well and needs to stop acting on it! But he has yet to kill anyone or anything else because of it, though he has almost killed himself because of it, but he's learned from that! Shame he hasn't learned enough yet! There is a reason people warn others about having too much pride! There is a reason it is listed as a deadly sin!

i agree with u but i also feel if clyde wernt locked outisde whe n he was or left for as long as he was or if he wasnt chained up his injurys could have been treated quicker or woulnt have been so severe giving him a greater fighting chance so techneclly speaking they where all to blame

I know Aaron is thick sometimes and he doesn't think before he acts and sometimes that gets him and people and animals around him into trouble and hurt! But you do have to admit when he cares about someone or something, he cares for it wholeheartedly! He would do anything for the people that he loves, admittedly that is the same mindset that gets him into trouble a fare bit of the time, but he does have a very big heart and does feel very deeply for those that do manage to get into his heart, like Clyde, Paddy, and later on Jackson and Adam, Hazel and his mother, Caine, etc.! Aaron does bring a lot of grief to the people he loves, but he also brings a lot of heart and loyalty and love to them as well! They do not call it unconditional love for nothing do they! The thing about unconditional love is that you love that person for their faults as well, not just their good sides! And this storyline kind of shows that! And boy does Aaron have faults! But he is not an evil person, and that's what the people that love him see in him! He is not totally unredeemable, and he can be saved, be it he goes kicking and screaming, but he can be pulled back! And later on, he does get better about it, of course it takes a lot of tragedy to get his head out of his ass, but it can never be said that he is an unloving and unfeeling sort of person! Because I think he feels a little too much, and the development of that hard outer shell is just a self defense because he feels too much and had to come up with a way of handling it! Not a very good coping strategy, but he didn't really have an example of a good way to cope now did he! I think Paddy had a good part to play in his, albeit slow, transformation! After all, he was one of the few people that really showed Aaron unconditional love, and what it is! I love Paddy, and I really wish Aaron would listen to him more often!

Wow I will admit I had a few tears after Aaron and beaten up his mate Paddy for making him come out but this dog seen really brought tears. Damn this was some real good acting..including Clyde.

(I THINK I GOT THAT RIGHT) Jackson: It's a pint, it's not as if we be at it in the pub, or are we (the look on Jackson's face when he said "or are we" priceless Aaron: his smiles just adorable, especially when Jackson leaves and Aaron and Cain elbow eachother. Aaron's smile and his eyes say pure love rather he knows it or not Me: Just awesome Aaron and Jackson just awesome nothing but love is between those two. I love it.

Did I misunderstand something? When Aaron showed up at the psycho's house with Clyde and said something about the vandalism at the garage, did the psycho show any sign that he knew what Aaron was talking about? It's clear that the psycho had his dog kill Clyde, but it's not clear to me that he did the damage at the garage. He probably did, but that has NEVER been established from what we've seen here. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

Sweet how Jackson said what if he came after Jackson next or chas? Later, he paid the guy so Aaron didn't get more trouble. Even if Aaron didn't appreciate it. But that was no excuse for the guy to hurt an innocent dog. Jackson was good for Aaron because he tempered well his temper. And Aaron was stubborn but he didn't love violence, was just prone to it

This is what happens when you get into a cycle of violent revenge. However, Aaron's "how could it get any worse?" comment really irked me. Things could get A LOT worse. Clyde, at the end of the day, was just an animal. What if Mickey does something to a person that Aaron loves? Like Jackson? Or Paddy? That would be a completely different story....

Worse and saddest episode I ever watched of Emmerdale, how the dog has to suffer because of Aaron. He did wrong selling Mickey the clocked car, but still wrong how Aaron had to lose his dog because of it. I was surpried Aaron never went back to really mess Mickeys life up knowing it will have being him attacking his dog. He should have brutaley assaulted Mickey and made him bleed to death, and poisoned his dog, I know I would have done if I was Aaron. I cannot believe that Mickey got away with this.

@Jendall1 If anybody did that to my dog I would also want to kill him but I hope I would have enough sense not to put my dog in that situation in the first place. Aaron brought this on himself. He never stops to think of the consequences of his actions. What if that lunatic goes after one of his friends or family next? GIVE THE MONEY BACK AND BE DONE WITH IT! This is a hard way to learn that when you lie and cheat and steal, it always comes back to you. Karma, you make your own.
