Thank you for being you!!😘I recently found you & I love you more each video that I watch, lol. You make me laugh, think, dive deep inside myself, look at things from a different perspective, get off my excuses & progress further on my journey. I have grown so much in the last year! Thank you for sharing your story, your struggles, your inspiration, your snarky attitude, lol...for being you. Everyone need to know they touch someone else & have helped them in their journey, & you have done that for me & I'm sure as I watch your videos you won't disappoint! Hopefully, someday, our paths will cross & I can give you a big hug & say thanks in person!! Much love & many blessings!!

In the US we definitely use the phrase "woke up on the wrong side of the bed". Such a balanced and great video as always. I find it so easy in the morning to be like, nah I don't need to mediate or pause before starting the day. You have inspired me to try a little harder to set my intention EVERY morning!

"Oh, England...you've got such a nice dress on today." HA! Love that. You are too adorable for words. You are right. Very Narnia. Such great advice. Going to try some of this. Maybe a five minute meditation in the morning. I want to start a morning ritual but wasn't certain of where to start. We have that saying "woke up on the wrong side of the bed" in the U.S. too. I just love your videos. You are so pleasant to listen to.

As always you bring the truth that I need to hear. I've been having such a hard time staying in a "good place" emotionally due to outside events, people and triggers. I know that I need that time in the morning to check in with myself and troubleshoot, but I've been ignoring that and telling myself I need to get straight into work. Thanks for the wake up call.

I just love you! Back when I worked a job that I absolutely despised, I would say to myself, every morning on the drive there, "Today is going to be a good day" and I would take a deep breath feel myself relax then listen to some music that I really loved for the rest of the ride. Every time I did this I had the best days. Setting your intention can be so powerful and easy to do! It's remembering to take the time to do it that can be the challenge sometimes. Back then I had a 40 minute commute to do it. Now a days, I have to be a little more creative as to when I get my quiet time to prepare my brain for the day. Lately, I take the time in the morning when my youngest wakes and I'm holding him and rocking in the chair, to really focus my brain into happy mommy mode. Otherwise, I'm a tired, whiny, mess until I fully wake up.

I loved this video and it is so true. I have extremely limited time to get ready in the morning before my hour-long commute to work (and I have to be at work by 6:45 am), but I light a candle on my altar to my matron the Morrigan and I read a brief Morrigan poem, spell, description from historical documents, or invocation. I find that doing this actually gives me more time because it sets my vibration/intention.

Absolute truth right there...we ALWAYS have a choice! One thing I recently discovered that helps me get into that soul space (a sense of peace), which quite surprised me actually, is knitting/crocheting. I guess it could be considered a form of active meditation?? I take a ball of yarn and needles with me in my bag everywhere I go and steal any moments I can to do a row or two of stitching...on my breaks at work, on the bus, waiting for appts or people, anywhere! I wish I'd paid more attention to my Gramma all those years ago when she was trying to teach me, I could have been enjoying this all along! :D

I can't even deal with how much I needed to hear this. I had such a dull unproductive week and this was exactly the problem. I was letting the day come to me instead of showing up and bringing myself to the day. I also deal with depression and though I never self-harmed, my bulimia was a form of self-harm at its worst. I found myself smiling so hard as you went through why it really is a choice because you immediately dealt with all my little gut reactions. And you're right; when I'm making all those right decisions and taking time to meditate, etc. it is so much easier to cope with the bad depression days. To some extent it is my choice and I can take control. It was lovely to see you in your new slice of Narnia, I'm very happy for you. Thank you for helping me recalibrate my compass (again)! Oh and I wish I was British so I could use the term "man badger".

God Kelly-Ann - so spot on as usual! I've been thinking about how we get so carried away by the day and how the "shit" of the day affects us. I think this happens because we lack the discipline to set the intention - the discipline of ritual right off, first thing in the morning - "Stand in your power" - I studied with A Buddhist priest who told me to "walk in you own authority". I love this - The snow looks lovely - You are a gem.

comment part 2 , because sometimes i get rambly while having my coffee :) .. in regards to the meditation time in the morning...to me, its like exercise..you will make time for what is important to you. I am a busy full time working mother and wife. i get up 1 and a half to 2 hours before everyone else so that i can exercise and meditate and plan my day. people tell me they don't have time for this or time for that, but those are the same people i see i facebook no matter what time of the day i sign on

radiantchristina Oh man, so true! I am just as guilty of insisting that I don't have time and then engaging in something pointless. But the more conscious I have become of the issue, the less it's been an issue at all. I now feel that I honour my time more and I think that a lot of misery in others comes from them not doing so, sadly.

In Dutch we don't say 'I woke up on the wrong side of the bed', we say "I've stepped out of the bed with my wrong leg" (Ik ben met het verkeerde been uit bed gestapt.) Or actually, it is more common for someone else to express it when they find you grumpy: "You must have stepped out of bed with your wrong leg."

Im in the united States and we have the exact same saying. (Surprising!) "I woke up on the wrong side of the bed." But I think we tend to use it towards other people when they are unusually out of sorts, ("Geeze! Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed or what?!" or "Don't mind little Jimmy he woke up on the wrong side of the bed today and there is just no talking to him!") more so than about yourself. But what you say defining makes sense. :)

Kelly-Ann, I try to meditate by sitting down, closing my eyes, slow & deep breathing, and focus on my chakras, but every time I do, I get so much anxiety. Why is this? I want be able to meditate and not freak out and feel like I can't breathe or think. Please help. Also, I like taking walks in nature, and that actually calms me down, but I want to be able to sit down, be still, think no thoughts, breathe deep, and meditate. Is this just not right for me? How can I do this? Is walking a form of meditation as well? I know it's a form of mindfulness. But why do I freak out and get a lot of anxiety when I try to sit still and not think any thoughts? Please help!

I'm a tiny bit confused, I'm assuming that embracing your shadow self would mean that you have it exist in the surface consciously but under control. But you mentioned how other people have their shadow self in the surface which can be murky towards your vibration. Isn't that just them embracing their shadow self?
