I thought NASCAR was insane to block the acquisition of the SHR charters, that almost guaranteed a W on the injunction appeal, imo. It adds tangible losses for both the teams involved in the lawsuit, as well as SHR.

The injunction states the each plaintiff will be allowed to enter 2 cars under the 2025 charter agreement. 23ii is wanting to enter 3 cars. You should do a quick video on this.

It’s not just money its provisions in the charter agreements like the fact teams can’t sue nascar being written into the agreements. And the amount of control nascar wants even owning up rights of the teams.

I'm with 23xi and FRM, any organization that forces you to adhere to guidelines that they won't openly detail, while writing in a clause that prevents any lawsuits...deserves a lawsuit.lay every card on the table, if there is nothing wrong then it solves itself. If these teams have a point, and we all know NASCAR isn't the most honest, then they deserve a better deal. The France family does almost nothing to build this series these days, that is up to teams and tracks, and those 2 entities should be better paid than NASCAR.

They have just been caretakers since the 90s. They own tracks and hold a tight grip on media royalties, which should be spread out better. They hold charters for themselves, without actually fielding any teams.. any teams fielded by them could be a potential conflict of interest, much like Penske and Indycar. What is quite obvious here is you are clueless about how many ways the France family is being paid, while race teams and track owners who actually drive the sport are losing profits. Given how utterly uninformed you are as you feel the desire to speak your poorly educated opinion, perhaps you could start a racing league for your fellow like minds, call it whatever you'd like...brain dead boot lickers comes to mind, but I feel that would make most folk think nobody knows how to lead, everyone just blindly follows. Kind of like take your valley and go home or some similar childish concept. You fail to grasp the purpose of the lawsuit, the purpose is so teams are not forced to go somewhere else to race. They are the ones building the league amd the bank accounts of the series. The governing body is acting like it is the star, when not one single person watches to see what the France family does this week. We are fans of drivers and race teams. If those teams are getting shafted so the powers that be can pad their pockets, they should be drug into court and forced to be fair and equal with the funds that the race teams draw in. See...not so surface level. As someone with an active pursuit in driving, the behind the scenes dirt is important for this topic. This is a large national series that draws hundreds of millions of dollars. You want BS "take your ball elsewhere" attitudes, stick to local tracks and local money...if you can't understand the financial impact of these charters, it is best to stay out of it, as you may appear to support a bad deal. The easiest way to start the discovery of whether a deal is good or bad is whether you are prohibited from bringing a lawsuit against the governing body, no matter their actions. That alone is worth a smack down in court.

Technically nascar isn’t a monopoly in existence. But monopoly laws and antitrust laws aren’t just for literal monopolies they’re for any company that engages in actions that constitute as monopolistic. That’s the whole point of the lawsuit to start with.
