23Zero Dual Vs Darche Dirty Dee Swag

A look at the 23Zero Dual 1400 dome swag and the Darche Dirty Dee 1100 3 hoop swag. Different type and size of swag but there's alot similar.

Was very tempted with the "darche" like the look of it, and the head room, still the "23zero" gets by far the best reviews. Gotta get a pool floater, what a great idea. Rain and simplicity was my ultimate decision for getting the 23zeo. Excellent video!

Just did a 10 day trip with the 23zero 1400, loved it. Definitely a good quality swag and so easy to pack up and bag. I never got a chance to season the swag either, got rain on one day and it held up great.

On paper it should be quite thinck but doesn't seem as good qua;ity as the 23zero, ARB or Crashpad canvas. Cheers

Awesome chilled review. I was about to buy the Darche as it looks amazing but I had not realised about the zips, only being able to secure from outside and with no actual storm flap zips is a 100% deal breaker, very surprised they designed the DD that way. I'm now ordering a Bandit 1400 from Aus (I'm in the UK) Cheers again

The 23Zero Bandits are the go. I ended up swapping the Dual with a Bandit because I like the 3 hoop desgn for internal space. I have my final 3 now with the 23Zero, Crashpad and ARB Skydome

Testing the Darche Dirty Dee and 23zero bandit. Really notice the head room and vertical walls. So much more space in the Darche. Issue I've noticed on all Darche display swags are pin holes on the roof where light shows through. Can't be good for water ingress. Do you have that and any issues with your Darche?

Yeh they do seem to have more needle marks than the rest. Think the canvas quaility isnt the best unfortunately. Once you season the swag a couple of times they tend to go away when the cancas expands and contracts. Cheers

@@robbiereddog4202 I bought a 900 bandit for my 9yo son, great swag great quality however i still prefer the dome style like the one you had as i like a full length entry door, my kid loves it though and ill probably upgrade my old swag to the 23zero dual 900. Are the 23zero dual swags seem taped like the bandits?

Thanks mate for me is much of a muchness. The bigger opening on the dome style swags definately easier but the doorways in the dirty dee wide and high enough to comfortably get in and out of.

23 Zero better and cheaper. Quality of Darche is not wat it use to be and they still charge a premium prive for an average product. Cheers

Thank you for the comparison. I camp in snow and heavy rain out of these 2 which design would you feel you would be better protected in and able to keep the rain and snow out of when climbing in and out multiple times? I will be using a rain tarp over the top any time I set up, but I am curious about your opinion.

@@HSKY412 Both great swags and you can't go wrong with either. Mattress slighly more comfortable in the ARB but not so much it would make the ARB the standout. Keep in mind the Bandit is atleast $250 cheaper which makes it pretty good value for what you get.

Damn, so the Darche doesn’t feature zippered flaps....if you’re in a howling storm, you’re gonna get water blowing in - geez, that could be a deal breaker. Bugga, just when I thought I figured out which one I was gonna buy. Back to square one!

Hep dissapointing with Darche unless you want to spend about $650 for their ridgedome with zippered flaps. Settled on the ARB single. Great comfort and quality. Thought the 900mm wouldn't be wide enough but with the 3 hoops suprisingly roomy. Best of luck.
