For all you Kratom users out there wanting to quit just make the jump cold turkey, don't prolong it by trying to taper. Life is too short and time is precious. Yeah it's going to suck for sure but you'll turn the curve at day 5, with day 4 being the highest probability of relapse that is if you don't break on day 2 and 3. I'm 14 days in today from 2 years of 1.5 ounces a day use. It's just getting better from here. Keep watching videos, it helps, misery needs company. You got this, you're stronger than you know. Good luck.

@@Dennisczahla8073 For cripes sake - I'm sorry - I could only imagine having to gag down that much kratom. At that rate, just get on suboxone - screwed either way. At least you only take a tiny piece of sub a day as opposed to a bucket of plant material. I went to rehab and 46 days clean. God speed.

Isn't it crazy? I seriously hate myself for getting addicted to this shit now! I'm about a week into the quit and I'm still not 100%. Never doing that shit again, the desire is gone after the withdrawal. It's not severe but jesus I would have hated to work a full week while feeling like that. I was biding my time for a good time like that, and Christmas/new year break presented itself as 2 5 day weekends broken by 2 days in the middle. Sucked feeling bad over Christmas but it is a good reminder to never do this again. I was spending over $200/month on it.

I was recently in rehab to get off buprenorphine - gagged down kratom for 10 days prior to entry hoping it would reduce wd - it did not. Surprising how many people were in inpatient rehab for kratom. Its not just a harmless "coffee" like plant - SE Asian opium replacement. So grateful to finally be sober and not have to always take something. I needed real help and continue to in the form of in-person support groups. Peace and God speed.

Pupils lookin huge! Part of the WD I know. For those of you with some decent clean time and are feeling back to 100%, just know that if you relapse, the WD's will come back almost immediately! If you're anything like me (and you are if you're here) you won't be able to just "use it once or twice over the weekend and then stop Monday". Maybe you could stop, but you'll feel some of those WD symptoms, even after a couple doses. It's crazy how fast they come back. It's like our brains are healed, but the healed part is weak and those receptors are SUPER sensitive now, and by using kratom even once or twice, it's going to give you some of those familiar withdrawal symptoms over the next couple days, be it less sever.. Just saying, it's not worth it, and the 6-8 hours of bliss you get, will be paid back over the next few days through discomfort, regret, and an empty pit feeling in your chest that cuts through to your soul. You know the feeling if you've played with opiates.. Anyway, hope your still hanging strong brother. I've used kratom off and on since 2016. Now 7 months clean, from when I had a 2 month relapse. Before that I had over 2 years clean, yet I had to go back and touch the stove to remind my self that it's still F**king hot!

I'll never forget the first withdrawal from kratom. I had been using it for a couple of months to come off heroin, and I didn't think I would even experience serious withdrawal symptoms. I was taking roughly 50 grams a day. The website I ordered from took longer than usual one time, and I had a court date. Since I thought it couldn't be too bad, I took what I had left. Oh my, by day two when I arrived at court, I was just as sick as I would have been from heroin. I was literally shaking, and I vomited in their bathroom and the lot.

@JoeFarrier-ft3hy hes very fit works on machinery for the plants hes thin and all his blood panels were excellent his ekg was screwed cause of the cpr made his heatbeat off but that's due to the seziure and his heart stopping kratom lowers the seziure threshold trust me I would of never believed it if it didnt happen but Google will confirm tons of cases for seziure and cardiac arrest from kratom toxicity

@JoeFarrier-ft3hy The alkaloids in kratom are far from harmless. The senior policy fellow of the American Kratom Assn is a white collar criminal named Mac Haddow. He sucks up hundreds of thousands of dollars every year through through the AKA by pedaling bunk misinformation about kratom being harmless and safe. Miragynine and 7 hydroxy mitragynine are atypical opioids. Who knows what the other alkaloids do. It's not harmless, it's dangerous and I imagine you are full blown dependent to it. Took me a long time to get off it. I'm just sick of people saying " there's NO WAY kratom causes harm"... It's just false.

I went down to 15 grams for a week and stuck to that until I jumped CT. Down from 40 grams. Seemed to help. You really just need to focus on getting sleep, youll get by the daytime. Talk to the doc about small dosages of pregabalin for night time, and perhaps clonidine and switch between thise 2 for sleep. I didnt think it was too bad, especially to when i had to quit pills CT because my doc just stopped the script in a vacation.

Kratom does play on serotonin a little bit but where you are getting that everything is OK feeling that is coming from the opioid affects. the opioids are hitting your opioid receptors and you are getting high that’s how opioids make you feel like everything is wonderful, Kratom has opioid alkaloids in the plant, they are called Mitragyna and seven hydroxy mitragyna. I hope your doing well brother and staying well.

@@bellabookitty9014 no need to pardon I am glad to be of any any help. NMN is in capsule form over the counter and it helps rejuvenate the cells in the body. It’s main purpose is endurance enhancement for athletes so after stopping Kratom, you’ll feel heavy and tired so NMN helps with it. It can be expensive but we’ll worth it and you won’t need to take it forever 9 ME BC is a brain nootropic compound and helps reset the neurological pattern. Stopping Kratom will leave your brain asking for dopamine and won’t be able to make its own so soon (about 6-9 weeks). 9mebc will help restore faster. Modafinil isn’t over the counter. It’s a pharmaceutical nootropic compound used for treating narcolepsy but Is a non addictive stimulant. It will make you feel more energised, focused, alert and in a better mood
