I chose 100 books from my own physical shelves to read in 2024! I plan to donate them as I read them if they are not definite keepers!

You have a lot of good books on your list! I'm getting ready to start the unfortunate side effects of heartbreak. I need to make a list of books I want to get to next year.

I really enjoyed The Keeper of Enchanted Rooms, I just purchased the second book, it’s wrapped under the tree lol. Also Bookshops and Bonedust, depending on the day, I’d say it’s better than Legends and Lattes, I just can’t get enough of the world Travis Baldree has created! Happy reading, I love your videos 📚🎄

I love these end of year videos!! 😍👏🏼 I also never got to secret society of irregular witches so that’s on my TBR for next year as well. I’m also so SO into cozy fantasy right now. I’ve read the house witch series & want to continue with more from that author. Also started cursed cocktails 🍸 which is giving majorrrr legends and lattes vibes! I just got a kindle so I’m reading all the KU cozy fantasies now 😂😂😂

It takes a lot for me to get into a romance or a cozy, and I absolutely adored Irregular Witches! I hope you will, too. I also really enjoyed The Measure. It’s definitely one of those books that’s makes you think about your own life, which I love. I also liked that it ends on a positive note. We have several of the same books on our TBR. Happy reading! 😊

I hope you like What Lies in the Woods. One of my goals for next year is to work on backlist books. It shouldn't be that much of a problem because I don't think I have any anticipated reads for 2024 surprisingly.

I am also attempting to read some of the Rebecca Ross back list. Spells are for forgetting and June Farrow are both on my TBR. I am now interested in The Drowned Woods, as my family is also from Wales. Thanks again for a great video Liv. Happy Holidays!

Minuscule Mansion of Myra Malone is one of my top reads of the year! Myra inherits the doll house from her grandmother and runs an instagram about it and the other character works in an antique store and one day someone comes in and is looking for furniture that is "mansion-esque" and hes like what do you mean... So she shows him Myras instagram and hes like... that is literally my house. Down to the furniture. And its about them trying to figure out how they're connected etc. It is SO GOOD. I haven't seen anybody talk about it but its in my top reads of 2023 and I'm SO excited for her 2024 release - House Like an Accordion.

Love being reintroduced to some great backlist titles and/or lesser known authors. I love new releases as much as anyone but sometimes it gets to the point where everyone is talking about the same titles at once. I remember feeling excited about some of these same books, so I need to circle back to them too!

Bookshops & Bonedust was SO cute. This is a genre I'm a huge fan of now! One of my big goals is getting through Cassandra Clare's books. I did the Mortal Instruments in college, but I'd like to go through all of them since I have about half on my bookshelf. :)

I counted all my BOTM books I haven't read. I have 122 of them. So those are going to be a priority! Also, the same as you, shopping my shelves this year! I'm really going to be mindful while buying books, and read any books I buy within the same month. So, only buying books I know I'm going to be reading soon!

Dreams Lie Beneath and Sisters of Sword and Song were two of my top favs this year! I can't wait until I get to Divine Rivals! (And then, A River Enchanted). Both those first books I read were enough for me to lay my love and trust into Rebecca Ross :P Bring Me Your Midnight was good but for me, Wild is The Witch (same author) was my personal favourite. Not just this year, but a favourite book I've read in a long time actually! Thanks for sharing your video, added some others to my tbr from it!

The Cartographers was….okay. The premise was cool, but it’s too easy to figure out who’s who, and the final explanations aren’t awesome. Like it’s never explained exactly why everything had to be such a secret. What Lies in the Woods is very closely modeled on a real case and if you’re familiar with it, you’ll know the ending from page 1. (No spoilers though if you don’t know the case.) Dreams Lie Beneath is my favorite from Rebecca Ross! And Bring Me Your Midnight is lovely. And and Juniper & Thorn has a ballet company! Not that we need to add to our tbr’s but since you like these authors and Adrienne Young, you might like the upper-YA paranormal thrillers from Ginny Myers Sain. I fully returned The Unfortunate Side Effects because I thought the marketing was dishonest and deceptive, and the writing wasn’t great. Like I wouldn’t have bought it if the author hadn’t lied about what the book was. BUT Ink Blood is incredible! 💜💜💜💜
