The Fashion District recommendation is a total native Angeleno move. Well done. All good recommendations. However, I would recommend tourist using the Metro especially with the recent opening of the Regional Connector. Much easier to get to Santa Monica, Grand Central Market, and Little Tokyo which also has some cool places to eat. LA Metro also started a new fare capping system July 2023 so you'll never pay more than $5 a day no matter how many times you use it. BTW, I like your energy and openness talking to people.

This video popped out on my recommendations I live in Downtown L.A 5 mins walking from Grand Central Market I recommend Ana Maria's Mexican food the quesadillas are so good as well as their giant $5 dollar tacos and Placita Olvera oldest Street in L.A with yummy Cielito Lindo taquitos and Mexican history from back in the day in the free museums

When you live in LA, you don't really drive across the town all the time. You won't be encountering horrible traffic all the time. Everything is within 30 minutes of your location or 45 minutes if you're driving from the valley to LA proper. Point is the traffic isn't that bad.

​@@karlhernandez617 if you are a traveler trying to squeeze all of LA into a small number of days, you can get crazy commutes with bad planning. LA is massive. Traffic can be very bad at certain times, but if you really know where to go and importantly when to go there, then it is not so bad. The trick with LA is to plan each day by area. You talk about going from Boyle heights to LAX and the next question is "why!?!" Just don't do that unless you absolutely have to. Better to enjoy a day in East LA, then a separate central, then a separate day West LA. If your starting point is Boyle heights just don't plan to go further west than La Brea.

Sorry, Grand Central Market is seemingly popular but I thought it was mediocre. The Donut Man’s donuts were meh and they didn’t have their signature fresh strawberry donut which they have at the original Glendora location. I prefer going to nearby Little Tokyo instead for a variety of Japanese food. Just my opinion.
