24-hour security for 'threatened' Robert Baden-Powell statue amid 'target list' fears | ITV News

The controversial statue of Robert Baden-Powell will not be removed on Thursday and will receive 24-hour security in the meantime, the local council said.
The statue of the founder of the Scout Movement in Poole Quay, Dorset, has been targeted by campaigners due to his associations with the Nazis and the Hitler youth programme, as well as his actions in the military.
Local residents have vowed to fight to protect the statue, which is set to be removed temporarily for its protection possibly on Friday or at a later date.
