Originally released in 1978 and containing just 8 songs, Greatest Hits has now been expanded by an additional 6 songs, making this the most complete look ever at their crucial '70s recordings. Contains the hits "Can't You See," "Heard It In a Love Song," "Fire on the Mountain" and "Take The Highway," plus 5 rare 45-RPM single versions!

Add Donnie McCormick and his Original Eric Quincy Tate Group of drinking 🍸 man's friend and Eric Quincy Tate on Atlantic in 1970 and later GRC SLI and the Lowery Music Group from 1975 to 1982. Reunion, Bear, Tommy Carlyle, and Donnie Mac solo through deaths. Great music. Donnie and Tommy composed so many undemo'd tunes. Love Train From New Orleans to Memphis to Chattanooga to Atlanta starting in Hot Lanta.

This 8 track got me from San Antonio Texas to Phoneix, Arizona in 1979. 1800 miles. Loved every damn minute of that trip. All by myseld with 400 dollars in my pocket and not knowing where I'll end up or I didn''t know a soul. I was 21 fresh out of college. I'm 67 and this song does it for me.

24 hours at a Time by Marshall Tucker Band. It came on our 8 track in our Toyota Celica as we were crossing over from Arkansas to Texas at Texarkana. I had just got out of the USAF at Andrews AFB and we spent the last 2 months driving the eastern part of the country visiting friends and family mostly in the Midwest. Spring 1974. Little did I know, I was going to be making Texas home. Kathi Dooley & I had planned on making New Orleans home, but first we had to visit her moms side of the family first driving down to Rockport to her grandparents who was going to show us the way to San Antonio. My life has not been the same since. So everytime I hear that song, that’s what it makes me think of, because we made note of the song lyric as we were coming into Texas. more than you wanted to know

I've been down around Houston, Texas Where the sun shines most of the time I've been drivin' about six hours Tryin' to reach that Arkansas line But Texarkana's an hour ahead And I've got to keep my wheels rollin' But woman you're always on my mind Twenty-four hours at a time So my woman I'm hoping you feel the same way Woman you know that I miss you And I can't miss you no more I got this ride doing seventy miles an hour She's loaded she's down to the floor But I've got to reach that Arkansas line Before the sun goes down... Yeah But woman you're always on my mind Twenty-four hours at a time So my woman I'm hoping you feel the same way Woman you know I need you I've been on the road too much Tired of looking at the highway Got to keep in touch some way I've been down around Houston, Texas Where the sun shines most of the time I've been driving about six hours Tryin' to reach that Arkansas line But Texarkana's an hour ahead And I've got to keep my wheels rolling But woman you're always on my mind Twenty-four hours at a time So my woman I'm hoping you feel the same way Feel the same way Feel the same way Feel the same way...

The Boys came thru Mocksville one August evening in 2009 and played an old loading dock (Junkers Mill) and everyone was sitting in the parking lot in they're lawn chairs and enjoying the great music. A Bud Light truck was there. after the show I took my son and daughter over to the tour bus and took a picture with the guys. They are all so down to earth. They let my son look around inside the bus. Tbey were heading home to Spartanburg. Theyre wives had driven up to see the show. Good ole boys and gals. Love them!
