Not very often that you find a photography post that's entertaining, informative and somehow touching. A great antidote to gicky talking heads.

Hi Michael, Great wee video. I love my M2 and still using for work too. It's an unfortunate to dropping our gear, but sometime we do - don't we? You have to come back to Scotland again and if I can recommend come in the winterr months and discover the Highlands. All the best and I wish you great lights. Regards, Laszlo, aka Weirdie Grizzly

Thank you Weirdie Grizzy! We loved our short time in Scotland and definitely have plans to return so I'll take note of your recommendation!

Nice shots man! Do you use any rubber cover for the M2 viewfinder while using glasses?
@michaelbennettphotoАй бұрын
I do not, that’s probably why the top of my glasses are scratched haha

Nice video! Is the Nikon F to Leica M adaptor rangefinder coupled? How are you able to check focus on the M2?
@michaelbennettphotoАй бұрын
Unfortunately the adapter isn't rangefinder coupled. I just used the focus scale on the lens and took my best guess as to where I think my focus should be based on how far my subject was from me.

Wonderful work and also narration. May I ask how you prepare your photos for your videos? It's nice with the white frame and the text which camera and film you use. And also which resolution (since I own a GFX 50s 2, too). I am starting in doing videos for youtube and struggling with hat.

Hey! I use a software called DaVinci Resolve. For the white border, I created a 16x9 aspect ratio white background in photoshop and I use to place behind all of my photos. So in essence, I import my photos into DaVinci normally and place the white background below the photos in the timeline and then reduce the size of the photo so the white background frames it.

I know you have an fp video but can you tell me your "travel rig"? It looks like it's in 1080 upscaled to 4k. Still looks nice.
@eldricarpilleda2 ай бұрын
I also want a non obstructive rig with my fp when I'm doing travel/photowalk.

Hey! I did in fact shoot in 1080 for all of these travel clips and the final output was in 4K. The 1080 isn't as good as the 4K as there is noticeable line skipping in the footage, but the quality and flexibility from the DNG files is still there. It's a great little travel camera. When it comes to a travel rig like this one, the only thing I have I have is a lens with an ND filter and a small grip with a bottom plate. The grip is the HG-21 from Sigma and the lens is the TTArtisan 17mm f/1.4 which is an apsc lens.
