Less rules compared to these days. If you reduced rules right now, the prototypes would be faster than LMP1 cars (top LeMans prototypes that are only 5-8 seconds slower around Spa compared to an F1 car).

debendra gurung The Cadillacs are in different classes. The Cadillacs and the GT are essentially in different races.

debendra gurung a class filled with other manufacture backed teams. They didn’t just beat anyone like a lot of other race series. All true WORKS teams. Ford beat the best

You'reBrotha Nigga The Aventador has a V12... the Huracan is built around the v10 to run its class... Also the Aventador is a tank, in a good way, but you'd have to redesign the whole thing to race it. Again, the V10 and the Huracan is designed to be easily adapted to GT racing

They use V12 before why not now? why is there no Aventador Huayra La Fera 918 and P1 in the Le Mans 24 race?

It's over 4000 lbs.... it would not be competitive.

To me if The Aventador is lighter than 918 La Fera and P1 it will be faster than those 3 cars! Think about it it is one brutal Naturally Aspirated V-12 Engine Pure Engine Pure Gasoline not hybrid. This is the biggest question to Lamborghini Super Cars why do they always make their cars heavy?

No idea, but they are nasty. I have an SV, it is insane, but it has been and will be bested. All Wheel Drive may also be another reason they don't race it. It weighs a lot, and I know is illegal in several classes... LMP1 it is allowed, but the Aventador would never be able run against them.

Get your facts straight. Ford was third. First and Second both drove Cadillac Dpi-VR. The first one was Mustang Sampling team of Action Express Racing company, which drove the Cadillac Dpi-VR. second was Wheelin Engineering of Action Express also on Cadillac Dpi VR. Then third was the Ford GT.

Wait, what? You do understand there are different race classes right? The Cadillacs won the P class, the Fords came in 1-2 in the GTLM class.

Chip Mahgilify well alot people keeps whining about it and calling Ford achievement (cheaters), ford built that car under the regulations and if it was allow to race is because Ford did a good job on putting that car together, plus ford was making F1 engines for lotus and Maclaren and ford won F1 constructor championship, so I believe ford achievement need little recognition and respect

ok it was faster by about a .1 and that has nothing to do with fuel usage. So it doesn’t matter ttv6 vs ttv8. Your gonna use more fuel. it doesn’t matter if your faster for a lap if you can’t do as many laps in 24hours.

The Vette's are in a different class than the Lamborghini. The Chevy Vette's and Ford GT's are competing in the same class with both Ford's handing the Chevy's their ass by leading 774 laps out of 783!!!

Headwinded Ford didn't sandbag. They've shown pace at this rave every yr, winning last yr, setting one of the fastest laps in their class the yr before, being near the top in qualifying this yr and now winning again. This track layout just suits the gt really well.
