You are so fun to watch! I really appreciate seeing reviews from someone who actually stayed in an inside cabin. That’s closer to my budget! I was on the Koningsdam early May. I think the Dive In fries are the best I have ever had anywhere. The sticky buns at the Lido buffet were lovely. The poffertjes at the Grand Dutch were disappointing. I think they just used pancake mix, which is definitely not traditional. The Lido buffet usually had at least one of the dinner entrees featured in the MDR. The little tables near Club Orange were often a nice quiet spot to sit. My husband enjoyed the NY Deli pizzas. We overall enjoyed the food on the cruise though sometimes things that looked good lacked flavour. A lot of the desserts contained nuts even if they were not obviously present. Be very careful if you have allergies of any kind. Potential allergens were not clearly marked, at least not at the buffet.

More often than not, we do not order our dessert until after we have finished our main course. This takes a bit longer, but we don't mind the wait. We sail on the Koningsdam in November, and we hope they serve the coconut tart because that looked delicious!

You have to know what to order at the Grand Dutch Cafe'. Did you know that they will fashion a nice charcuterie plate at no charge! More than makes up for the cost of coffee. The Dutch breakfast plate is extremely good and shouldn't be missed. There is nice nook overlooking the sea where you can meet people and chat if you wish in the morning or afternoon 4/5 for me!

I agree that you are so fun to watch. You would have made an excellent Ph.D. in biology. I just couldn't do it. I had to major in chemistry instead. You analysis of the food is so exact that anyone can merely take your word for it. The fact that you stayed on the ship more than 14 days means this shop has the best food. I am a big chicken but my dad succeeded in being a combat infantryman in 1937. If I had to be in a trench today I would want you next to me. I feel that confident with you. It's much better being on a ship to France with friends than being in a war like Ukraine. I hope that someday we will have peace and friends like you to meet at afternoon tea. My wife really likes scones. I think my serving of tea needs some Calvados in it. Everything is better with Calvados. Especially Coquilles St Jacques.

If everyone in the world could Love one person that hugely much heaven would take notice of each of us with a special reservation for afternoon tea at the heavenly banquet hall. I've known journalists from other regions who came so many times to the Great Lakes and never once tried pan fried lake perch. They missed the one thing in this world that tastes of the heavenly banquet and then they left this world without ever floating in Lake Michigan with a cartridge belt. That's exactly how it was with Tom McCahills son Brooks.
