We're a little behind in watching but better late than never. Last year we stayed at NYNY for the very first time and liked it a lot. Our room was a premium and had even more floor space. The casino was pretty lucky for us and we enjoyed ice cream cookie sandwiches from the Hershey store.

It really did surprise us. We have been there many times to eat at multiple places there (or to film segments for other videos) but hadn’t actually stayed there until we made this video. This is pretty much IMO the Planet Hollywood equivalent for properties under the MGM umbrella. Which means… it’s perfect for those who may want a bit more than the budget properties. But also don’t want to spend what it costs to stay at the higher end properties. It’s the happy medium. Plus the casino is lots of fun that’s always a plus. -Paul

We absolutely LOVE this place. Me and my wife came to the conclusion that we'd rather stay in a place like this rather than a luxury place. the vibes are nice. My wife fell in love with all of the small details around the hotel. As a matter of fact, planning for 2025 trip already and she told me to book New York New York again! Greenberg's Deli. So nice I visited twice lol The brisket and pastrami with a little bit of Gulden's mustard. This is the sandwich of my dreams. So good. Mad Apple was incredible. Though we just got a Shake Shack at home (we JUST got one a couple of months ago lol), we made it a point every time we came to eat there. Wife LOVED Chocolate Bar! Capriotti's is awesome. There was one in my hometown and I would usually get the wagyu cheesesteak (so good) but it's gone. When I was in Vegas in May, I didn't see the cheesesteak there, but the place is so good. There's more places in that hotel I'd like go eat at and go to! Looking forward to being there again next year! This video further convinced me!

I enjoyed it. It’s just very rough. But I will say this, the current restraints they have for it are a lot less painful than the old ones that it had when I rode it a decade ago. The old ones had me hitting my head around them. As a theme park fan, I do wish Vegas had more roller coasters. -Paul

Great video. Absolutely love NYNY. Would never really have considered staying there until your video of that suite! If you are into drag shows, the brunch at senor frogs at TI is great, we've been going for the last 10 years and never seen anyone cover it! Excellent content always x
@JamesandPaulTryitAll2 ай бұрын
The suite was AMAZING. That hot tub was LIFE!!! And we sure spent some time in it after filming Hofbräuhaus and slot plays that night. As for the Drag Brunch at Señor Frogs, while we have not planned it into our content schedule, I do feel like it would be a fun thing to feature, and a drag brunch is definitely a plus for fun content that we haven’t seen other channels feature. So that is a great suggestion. That being said, we definitely would love to make a stay at Treasure Island so that could be something that we do plan into the content when that stay does happen (our next “booked” properties for 2024 are Circa, Plaza, Mandalay Bay, Aria, and Paris) but Treasure Island is on that list to try so while it’s not scheduled or planned, it’s definitely something we will be happy to consider when planning a stay ❤️ -Paul

New York, New York is one of the favorite places we've statyed at. I love it's location, and the fact that you don't need to go far to get any kind of food you want. As a rolloer coaster lover I do enjoy the roller coaster a lot. Sure, it's not the best but it's fun and, for thrill coaster, it's pretty a long ride. We were surprised to find out the Choloate bar isn't assicated with the Hershey store. For years I thought it was! Still, love to go there and get me a Jolly Ranger shot and a martini. Also, agree about the pizza, only one place to get a good one.

We didn’t even cover it all 😮 - There’s some places we just could not get to in the 24 hours. For the places we couldn’t cover, they have Il Fornao for Italian Cuisine, Chin Chin for Asian fusion (and Chin Chin offers a brunch buffet in the mornings), Tom’s Watch Bar (for more beers on tap and bar food), Pour 24 for craft beers, and Gonzalez Y Gonzalez for casual Tex Mex food. But we did try to feature as much as we could for this video, and that’s one reason the video is a bit topheavy with the food because there’s just so much food at NYNY to cover. This is a food centric property with a lot of options at many accessible price points. Thank you so much for watching and commenting ❤️ -Paul

@JamesandPaulTryitAll2 ай бұрын
I didn't notice that until I was editing the video. But I also won't judge others for wanting to stay cool in the summer and dressing down for dinner (It was hot that night). With exception of anything we filmed in July when it was almost 120 degrees (We still kept it classy with button up shirts and nice pants), we do try to always dress up for dinner. As a millennial, I am all about the comfort clothing when at home or for casual experiences, but when out for a nice dinner or in Vegas, the opportunity to dress up nice for the evening can be a lot of fun. -Paul

Awe thank you, we can totally relate to missing Vegas, it’s a vibe - As for the video, this one was definitely a beast to put together. To peel back the curtain a bit, we literally filmed it pretty smoothly in the 24 hours (minus the bonus segments we put in), but editing this one took more than a week 😮. As the person who does all the editing between the off hours of my 40hr work week, it can be a huge undertaking to do these hotel videos so the kind words on the detail we put in really means a lot to hear. Thank you for watching, the comment, and the support ❤️ -Paul

We still need to Try Gonzalez Y Gonzalez and Chin Chin for their brunch. I didn’t say it on the video but I got the front seat of middle car on the coaster and yeah… it’s a rough coaster. I’m still a bit salty they wouldn’t let me sneak my GoPro on (because it ain’t going anywhere on a chest harness and is technically no longer a “loose item”), but rules are rules. The guy at the front literally saw me filming on it and was like, “you have to lock it up” 😭 -Paul

Awesome! 1 26:39 What did you guys have to drink? 2 How noisy or annoying was the roller coaster? 3 How was the check-in? I know that you guys are up there in rewards. Were there a lot of miserable people in long lines? 4 How were the elevators? Wait time? Shaky? 5 Thanks 😊
@JamesandPaulTryitAll2 ай бұрын
We did not order cocktails with dinner (it was day 7 for us and admittedly we didn’t want to drink a lot as we had to be up at the airport early the next morning). The roller coaster was not too noisy. You could slightly hear it as the chain lift did its thing but it was much quieter than our room at Planet Hollywood where you could hear the DJ music. You did hear it as well at the Village Street Eateries. Check in was smooth on both occasions. For this video we checked out of Planet Hollywood and went right to the check in desk at NYNY but on the second time when we did the suite, all of the check in and keys were done via self serve on the app and phone. This is one area where MGM shines over Caesars. You can literally bypass ever waiting in line with a mobile app check in (provided it works), and a push notification will automatically tell you when the room is ready. You can then activate the app to serve as your room key and your phone is essentially your room key so check in runs much smoother with MGM overall. Elevators were also pretty fast and efficient and in no way shaky. They were faster than others we have been in. Thanks for watching. -Paul

That pizza was Sam's club quality for 4 times the price
@JamesandPaulTryitAll2 ай бұрын
Being Costco members, I’m not quite sure what Sam’s Club Pizza is like, but I will say that I thought Sirrico’s pizza was better than Costco pizza. It was a solid middle of the road slice. Not life changing, but I would absolutely eat it again if I was at NYNY, I was hungry, and wanted a meal for under 20 bucks. Now… New York Pizzeria on the second floor at the New York food hall is awful! Not to mention that the slices are even more expensive at about 14-15 after tax. That being said… everything is more expensive on the strip. That’s nothing new. A lot of the cheaper food options in Vegas are hot garbage, and you find yourself paying way more than what you would when not in a tourist area (for subpar food) Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! We appreciate it! -James
