3:54 Luke, you passed our property about 30 seconds after you filmed this. That's not phrags, that's giant mescanthus. Folks use it for animal bedding and what not. It does look a lot like phrags though. We also have quite a few sikas on our property so you aren't wrong in saying they love that stuff. Pretty cool seeing you in our neck of the woods. Hope you had a good hunt.

Oryx are awesome animals and even more tasty. There are four types of oryx. I have harvested all 4...The most hunted here in the states are the scimitar horned oryx. They are virtually extect in their home land of africa, but the two biggest populations of them are here in texas and in New Mexico now.

@ it was still a great video. Are those deer smaller than a white tail?? When you use a heater in a tent always put something like a piece of plywood under it and in front so the fabric doesn’t melt and catch fire. Don’t want anything happening to you bud !! Take care and God bless you 🙏

“What is an oryx? There are four species of oryx living in Africa and the Middle East. They are large antelopes with long, spear-like horns - with the Gemsbok (Oryx gazella) being the largest of the oryx species. They are a true desert animal, with a thick, horse-like neck; a short mane; and a compact, muscular body.” There’s private ranches in Texas and New Mexico and I believe also in Arizona where you can pay to hunt them as well.
