It's really just up to your personal preference. Personally, I loved the first two seasons of Prison Break, but after that I thought the show took a dump. On the other hand, 24's first 5 seasons are great, with the 5th one being the best (and probably the most intense TV I've ever watched). Season 6 was pretty bad, although the first 4 episodes were beyond amazing. I haven't seen much of Season 7 or Season 8 to judge those. I did enjoy 24: Redemption, though (set between seasons 6 and 7).
