For cosmetic samples and baby clothes, I’ve donated to women’s shelters and they’ve always been very appreciative. As long as they have not expired, this makes the most sense to me. Happy decluttering, everyone 😊

I have been binge watching organization videos this January of 2024, when I came across your channel. For the record every January I seem to binge watch organization videos, lol, as well as watching them throughout the year. Already watched 4 of your videos! Your advise is right on and also brought many great tips that others don't. I definitely subscribed!

I did put all my gift bags in my garage sale last summer. Sold lots of the them. What was left finally fit in the storage bag I had for gifts bag. Books are hard. Work in progress.

When I listen to videos like this , I like to see what all I am already doing. I feel like I’m ahead of the game when I hear things I’ve already tossed or repurposed and removed from my house. I also get ideas of things I can improve on. Thanks for your ideas!

I just saw one of my favorite earrings is missing its mate. I'll hang onto it since it's in my earring case where I see it often, until I have a chance to look everywhere.

Great tips. I especially like that you’re looking at the camera. I must be really unusual, as I don’t own half of these things, especially smelly candles. I hate them.

Thank you! This was so inspiring, I actually stopped the video a couple times to go and toss a few things (so I wouldn't forget).

I save Christmas gift bags because we reuse them. But I donate all others. Instead, I purchase various sizes of kraft gift bags and use tissue paper to match the person or occasion. Everything has a home.

I paused the video and 1) unsubscribed from 5 newsletters, plus deleted a bunch of emails, and 2) deleted five Apple Notes. I don't have a ton of Notes, but you prompted me to evaluate and start paring them down. There's a lot more work to be done on the inbox, but you've already helped me do some cleanup. Thanks, Laura!

Where I lie you can take dead batteries almost anywhere. Schools even have drop of points for those. I had trouble getting rid of books so recently bought a second bookshelf. At least they fit and are organised right now.

Does anyone know if there's a place to donate fabric? I've made a lot of quilts and I have so much fabric that I just can't get rid of because I know the fabric could be used for other things.
@amydockerty777511 ай бұрын
Check your local animal shelters... they might use it for blankets for animals.

Just an idea .. maybe the theatrical dept at your local high school can use the fabrics to make costumes for their plays.

There may be folks who make quilts for missions in the United States or overseas. Not fancy - just plain blocks made to about single bed size for those in need. Our church group uses old sheets, blankets, bedspreads for the backs and middles.

If you go to the gear in the upper right corner, there is an option named Playback Speed and can select a slower speed. 😊 you can also add closed captioning that can help

My apologies to you, Laura, but, not only as a teacher, but an individual who really likes people despite their individual ways, I totally agree that your enormously fast way of speaking might very likely be difficult for even a majority of your listeners. Perhaps a clue would be listening to yourself. Nevertheless, thank YOU for your commitment of sharing with us really helpful decluttering & organizing tips! 😊
