In one video you mentioned dead batteries. Usually, they may have a little "juice" left in them like smoke detector batteries I use for my computer mouse often for several weeks after I remove them from the detector. It is not always safe to just toss them in a basket without first putting a piece of tape on each + and - poles (ends usually) to prevent the starting of a fire in your basket. I do use a battery tester and those still checking good that have beeped in my detectors I put in recycled cassette tape casess so none of the poles can touch each other. They often last another month or more. Some device batteries have a lot of amps left in them!

You don't need your own shredder. UPS does shredding. I was decluttering decades of files I've always kept everything just in case. I had 3 big heavy bags and worried what this was going to cost. I hadn't even ask cost per lb! 55 yrs of paper cost 30.00. My ups store cost 99 cents a lb. Less than the price of a shredder! Worth every penny.

Great video & tips. I have several ornaments & collections that I want to declutter/get rid of but my sister-in-law keeps on about me selling them on eBay & it’s really stressing me out. I don’t mind selling a few bits on eBay but not all of it. Some of it I’ll just give to some charity shops. What do you advise in a situation like this please?
