My Fetal Echo (which is a pretty standard test for IVF pregnancies) and my visit with my OB! This also kind of turned into a mukbang because I'm eating and chatting with you guys lol

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME AND MY CHANNEL
I’m local to Kansas City but grew up a military brat so travel is in my blood! I married my college sweetheart, Anthony, in 2015. We’re absolutely obsessed with our two fur babies Xander and Willow. (Any other Buffy fans?) Anthony and I knew early on in our relationship that we wanted to have kids as soon as possible. We’ve been fighting the uphill battle of infertility for 5+ years now. Here on my channel, you’ll see a lot of videos pertaining to our trying to conceive (TTC) journey.
Though infertility does not define us, it has been a life-altering thing to go through. We find that this taboo topic is something we want to shine a light on by sharing our raw and real emotions through it. A few other things you’ll see on my channel pertain to lifestyle and wellness. Whether that be mental wellness, physical wellness, and beyond. A few other fun facts about me, I love to binge-watch a good show, sipping on some delicious coffee, and I’m probably planning my next vacation.

@@Heidi_Bradshaw OMG I'm so glad you had your rainbow baby. It is really hard. I have a 18 year old and a 10 year old praying for my 3rd which will be my rainbow baby. I'm so thankful for the ones I have. Still really sad about the lost. It was a new experience for me.

I'd recommend refrigerating the glucose drink, with my last baby they gave me the 1 hour glucose drink cold but then I needed to do the 3 hour glucose and they gave me that drink room temp and it was so much worse. The taste though overall was tolerable in my opinion. Glad your pregnancy is going well and yall are getting good news/easy appointments, you guys deserve it💙

When I had to drink the orange drink I was nervous but to me it tasted like some extra extra sweet orange crush...it's not too bad. Congratulations!!!

The orange drink isn't that bad, it's like a concentrated tang :). I also eat my mozzarella sticks plain! You're rocking this pregnancy!!!

Put the drink in the fridge before you drink it! Drinking it cold makes it easier. Also use a straw. I just held my nose and chugged with a straw. It's like flat orange soda. Not that bad tbh.

Eat a high protein breakfast with little carbs. I was a dumbass and had waffles and had to do the 3 hr one. Fasting until like noon until while huge pregnant is NOT fun. I’m sooooooooooooo excited for you!

So weird you guys get to eat before yours! In Australia, we aren't allowed to eat for ten hours before, I think it was! I think that's what made me sicker than the drink, plus it was super hot that day, blergh.

@@cobalong we have 2 different ones. The “normal” 28 week one is a go with the flow test. If you fail it you have to take a second bigger drink and you aren’t allowed to eat past midnight. It suuuuuucks!

It’s not the drink that’s bad. For me it was the fasting that most doctors ask you for. 😭 I always puked stomach acid if I wasn’t eating enough. I had to do 7pm until blood test at 9am so I just felt awful. 😭

Praying you don't have gestational diabetes either...I had it...no fun! And you're right, the drink isn't that bad but it's gross to have to drink in 5 minutes! Prayers!

They just gave you the glucose drink to take home? Do you just drink it before you go to your appointment? They watched and timed me and then took my blood at the end of the appointment.

Yup, full instructions are on the bottle for me to follow. I don't see why anyone would need to be watched while they drink it, just timing it so that the blood draw happens at the right time.

That’s not much symptoms of Gestational diabetes, I’ve had two pregnancies, both with GD and no symptoms from any. 🤷🏻‍♀️ wish you the best!
