Definitely on the want list. The Rocket 3 is INSANE. Especially with high rpm heads, I’ve heard that some people are making 2,500cc stroker kits for these. That’s easily gonna put this over 200ft/lb of torque probably in the 250-260hp range.

I'm the guy in CT with the turbo zx14r. I was meaning to bring the bike by your shop but unfortunately I burned a stock piston. Anyhow, at the time of this message it is getting Wossner 9:1 forged pistons, 4340 Wossner forged rods, head studs and CARPENTER valve springs. I'll be sure to bring it by the shop when it is all back together. It will be in the 280 to 300 HP range.

Actually, the Triumph Rocket III Touring weighs 906 pounds, not 780 pounds. I know because I own one. (That's wet weight but you aren't going to ride with no gas or oil!). Most published specs for the bike are outdated. The early R3Ts didn't come with crash bars, sissy bar or auxillary lights but the weight you see published on most sites never bothered to correct the weight for those later additions. From that 906 pounds, you could subtract some because the exhaust has been changed on this bike. The original pipes with mufflers are heavy so I'm guessing this bike is probably about 860-870 pounds. Just a guess. Thanks for posting this.

A Harley V-Rod owner took my old boss's Rocket 3 for a rip , he came back scared shitless !!! He had no idea what kinda animal the Rocket 3 was before he took it for a spin . These bikes are bad to the bone !!
