I just bought a rocket 3, and I had never seen another one this color.... I called triumph gave them my vin number and they told me you have 1 of 1 in the world produced in that color for a TV show called the righteous gemstone.... I have a picture of John Goodman with my bike!!! I just bought it Wednesday with 1300 Miles on it!!!! I didn't know how I got so lucky! I couldn't even find this color on Google and that's why I called triumph for more info.

Its so good seeing you as a black man into bikes. Years ago my Jamaican / English mate had a big Kawasaki Z1000 and weve had some great times in SW London. Like you he was crazy on bikes and at nearly 60 far prefers them to cars and loves anything from dirt bikes, riceburners and cruisers with big engines but Harleys are cexpensive here and suffer from rust on parts like spokes, rims etc. I luv the FTR1200 and am waiting for them to come down but vsecondhand Victory are great value here and cost similar money to older 2.3 rocket 3s and 1600 and 1700 Triumph Thunderbird twins. Triumph are making some great bikes including that new 1200 Speed Triple, such beautiful design and 180 bhp! The ex plorer too with shaft drive and 150bhp, big tank, great for crossing America in comfort. Still apart from tigers to go off road too and 1200 speed triple for scratching pegs if you can as handling, torque etc is great and you will enjoy it so much a 2.5 Rocket with forward controls is great for me but its sad there is no 1700 parallel twin with stripped down weight. So underated and great finish and reliability. My nephew is ex Royal Engineer who loves his 1600 T bird😅, it cost $6000 USD £5500 gbp and has 17000 miles on it. He has just done a trip on it to the highlands of scotland right up to the very north in such comfort getting 40mpg and said it was so comfortable, faultless and it looks like new even as a bike of 13 years old. I was amazed riding it and truely love these cruisers now and im 63 years old, an old rocker. You cant take the rock er out of the Rocket. Long may it continue and thanks Brandon for your great videos. I love the mechanical stuff with your intdresting strip downs of Indian motors and like Craig Jones in the Doghouse custom enfield bullet bobbers and his bespoke frame building and excellent fabrication skills and attention to detail, you and his podcasts are for true greasemonkeys like myself who prefer to fabricate, fix, paint and adapt as needed. Cheers from Kingston, SW London. You are truely a great american legend amongst some mates of mine here🎉

Love my GT I have 37,000 miles plus on it now. Still smiling. I changed from the forward controls to the mid controls and I am much happier with that position. I cant control the bike any better but it is much much more comfortable riding position for me. With the forward controls you have to use your leg muscles on the pegs but with the mid controls gravity keeps your feet on the pegs. Just my two cents worth.

I have a Rocket 3 GT triple black (limited edition). It is a gorgeous bike and everything you say it is and then some. I agree with you about the forward vs mid controls. I’ve ridden an R with mids and prefer the forward controls. I am not saying that’s better or trying to be right. That’s just what suits me. A couple of other things I prefer about the GT is the bars and the seat. The bars are more swept back on the GT and put you in a more comfortable position for longer cruiser like rides. The GT seat is also different. It is lower to the ground which I like. You feel like you are sitting in the Rocket rather than on it. It also is more comfortable for general riding and holds you firmly in place under hard acceleration. The GT comes with heated grips standard and a few other things. The heated grips are optional on the R. The R is a great bike and will be just the thing for many riders. I went to the Triumph dealer looking for an R and ended up getting a GT because of the forward controls, bars and seat. The least talked about but makes the biggest difference is the GT bars. They are perfect for me. The cool thing is the bars, foot controls and seats are all interchangeable between the R and GT models. I know a character with an R that switched to the GT seat. I also know of several GT riders that put mid controls on their GT. At least one switched them back. Interesting video. Not the normal format for you but I enjoyed it.

Quick question. When riding this motorcycle in the rain, will the back tire spin up all the water and mud on the back of your jacket and helmet due to the lack of rear guard to protect you from all the backsplash ?
@BrandonBicasso2 жыл бұрын
Nah. The little mud guard on the rear tire catches that.
@markettradinggenius2 жыл бұрын
@@BrandonBicasso I had asked that question because several people 'claimed' that the they experienced 'mud splashes' because the rear guard isn't long enough to catch the water that splash upwardly. Another quick question I have, based on some research, is, have you ever experienced any "electrical issues" with your Triumph because Triumph is known to have electrical issues(from dead batteries, etc..ect..) on their bikes and even on the Rocket 3R/GT ?

The shift assist is awesome, full throttle up shift and downshift in Sport 😎 and they reckon they shaved 80kgs (176lbs) because the EuroV added 40kgs 😎 the torque is addictive but then after that every other bike feels gutless in the mid range.. including the Diavel 1260S which is a fast bike when you rev it out 👿 I would say the size of the bike would not suit a new rider, far better they learn balance on a smaller bike.. they will than appreciate Rocket even more. I think the GT with mid controls and highway pegs would be a sweet setup. Great content brotha! Much love from Michigan

I agree! I rode one with the set up and it was better.

I've sold my 2021 R1 for a Rocket 3 R. Couldnt forget about it once I test rode one. Dealership was nice enough to loan it to me for like four days when I had my Speed Triple 955i (2001) in service. I'm definitly not a cruiser guy with my crotch rockets, and I also got to ride the GT version. Gave me lower back pain in like an hour, as with the R, I can ride that all day long. However, whatever flavour you pick, I'm pretty sure you wont be disappointed with it! Just like my old Speedy, I will NEVER sell this motorcycle!

I'd like to see you get a VMax as well. Then you could do a comparison of the most popular muscle cruisers.

I want his whole setup. I love the look of that bike and with the shield and the Garmin it looks so cozy.

It really is a nice clean set up 🤙🏾

I don't know when, but I WILL own one of these. The xdiavel is a possibility too, but rocket 3 is definitely my top choice atm.

I feel the same way.

Very different bikes for totally different riding styles. To me the rocket is a cruiser with a dash of sport. To me the Ducati is a excitable machine. Excitable and Cruz are not compatible for 1 bike

Can you compare the bike v DUCATI XDIAVEL ???

I’m sitting here waiting for sticker shock. Love the instruments. I’ve owned two m109s looking at a third one but now you show this. Oh boy can’t wait to see the price.

Brandon, Very nice review. Your lack of hubris is refreshing. I own a '21 Rocket 3GT, and I am interested in the mounting system your friend uses to integrate the Garmin onto the bars. Can you provide additional details about it? Thank you for your time & consideration of this request.
@BrandonBicasso2 жыл бұрын
That mount comes with the Garmin Zumo XT combined with an accessory from Triumph for the Rocket.

@@BrandonBicasso Roger that, and thanks It’s replacing the bolts for the bar clamp with longer bolts, and sitting there, correct?

I Subscribed Brandon, don't let me down. 🙂 Great review by the way.....You've reviewed two of the bikes we'll be purchasing in January. The Rocket 3 GT and the Indian Cheif Bobber Dark Horse.
