@joshds25 it's on the side that has the smaller clip for the clear ecu cover, and it's the first pin up against the center bolt. it's a green wire with a red stripe. i noticed that it wasn't in your clip to begin with though. thanks for the quick reply, and the help.

Your best bet is find one locally - at a junk yard or on a local 240sx forum online or even try craigslist. I have a full set of DVDs on how to rebuild one in case you need to go that route.

It will work on all S13 models - the S14 is a little diffrent but its alot easier to use the s13 harness for this swap even if you use the s14 engine of course you will need to swap a few things to make it work.

i have an other plug that looks similar to this one but is smaller that is higher up under the dash. do i need to color match those 2? i never see anyone metnion this plug

@joshds25 ahh thats what i figured. ill keep on lookin though, i havent had any luck yet but theres always hope. it almost seems as if sr/rb motors are easier to find on the internet than ka's as far as the full engine and transmission set goes. and i will definately pick up a few of your vids man they are awesome. this one has helped me and i dont even have the car yet! haha

So what would i have to do to swap a KA back into my 240 sx ? i have the chassis harness still, but the KA computer is gone an so is the harness but what else will i need ? and can i just drop in a 5 speed ka with the 5 speed computer? or will i have to do some electrical work ?

is it absolutely neccessary to depin the leftover wires from the ecu clip? i ended up with 1 more wire than the video show. it's a green wire with red stripe. did i do something wrong?

i got 2 questions about this video. I am doing a KA24E to Ka24de swap, if i fallow this video, will my tachometer work? because i know that is a common problem when doing the swap, and also, will my gas gauge work? you didn't mention anything about the gas gauge wire when swapping the wires over..

I'm hooking up a S13 '92 cluster to my computer (for racing sims). I have +12 hooked to ignition bolt on the back of the cluster as well as ground hooked to GND bolt. I have a USB pcb board (revburner) which sends a pulse to the TAM bolt on the cluster, tachometer works flawlessly. However, speedometer doesn't move at all no matter what pulse I send it. I have tried to hook the signal with the pulse (square wave 8000ppm) to the 2P bolt on cluster... but needle wont move. Any ideas?

What about power to the ecu? Isn't that a red wire on the connector?

there's 4 bolts on for the speedo. IGN, GND. 2P and something in Japanese (I believe VSS sensor). I guess the speedo needs something to be connected to both 2P and VSS in order to accept the pulse signal and move the needle. If you know where to hook the cable with the pulse signal to let me know please. As well as what to do with the other bolt that does not get any signal (since it's a racing sim on PC, nothing moves so I have no VSS sensor obviously) :) If you know I could donate a little

sup im doing a dohc swap in my buddys 1993 240 sx its a sohc im a honda guy im jw if the dohc will bolt up to the sohc trans an if not what all will i need to do the swap right he going to get a motor this weekend

Hey so, I don't have that grey wire and I have 3 black wires on the DOHC plug, I'm unsure which one to ground. There is a fat black wire that was next to a fat white wire, and where your grey wire is I have a black wire, then there is another black wire that I cannot remember where it went. Someone, anyone help, I'm guessing it's different because of non-abs?
