Group Home and Mobb Deep are the two best 90's NYC Rap Groups that were able to truly capture the FEELINGS and LIFESTYLE of the inner city youth during that period of time and project that into their songs and made you feel like you was actually in the projects and apart of their click. They are the best of that era for me when it comes to emotionally including you into the feelings they had when they put the pen to the paper! FACTS!

I first heard East New York Theory back in 1996 in Nuremberg Germany. At club Marilyn. It was one of the last songs they played that night and I remember finally talking to this girl I wanted to talk to. My first time knowing of Group Home.

Katherine Belton LIVIN PROOF is my favorite hip hop album of all time , still got the cassette from 95 sis, I know they fell out with premier( as did JERU) way back when but I don’t know the particulars. I had always hoped for close to 20 years now that they would all reconcile ( GURU, BIG SHUG, JERU THE DAMAJA,GROUP HOME ) and we would get an actual GANGSTARR FOUNDATION album , but it ain’t happening, this video reenforces it.

Seems like what Prodigy from Mobb Deep wrote in his book about Malachi holding a roll of toilet paper and taking a number 2 on the floor of a studio is true. Malachi's looking like the nutcracker he's named after. And Dap ain't too far behind Malachi. This is a perfect example why if you aren't financially wealthy for the remainder of your life you shouldn't indulge in drugs or alcohol. These guys need to be in a facility recovering and healing, not out in public looking crazy.

Malachi always had a mental illness & he also was an amateur boxer. That's why he slurs. Prodigy even speaks of Malachi The Nutcracker being a little off in his book My Infamous Life. Malachi took a #2 on the floor in the recording studio, then went & sat Indian style & started rocking. He spoke of another incident where Malachi crashed DJ Premier's truck up bad & was so disappointed in himself, he shot his foot to show DJ Premier he was sorry. Malachi's a good dude w/his share of battles man.
