Vegas doesn’t set odds to tell Josh which team is better or not. Vegas sets odds to make money for Vegas. Mormons don’t gamble so BYU odds are always notoriously low to entice more people to bet BYU. It’s always been that way. I’m not saying Kansas isn’t great or BYU isn’t great, but Vegas has an agenda to make money, not tell sports writers how to predict who will win.

BYU is 7-2 against the spread and are averaging +13 ATS. BYU was favored by 3 at UCF. BYU won +12

So long as you have that Kansas record pulled up why don't you take a gander at the scores of the games. All but one of their losses was by less than a 1 score margin. Kansas is a good team with a bad record. They've been dangerous all year.

JP love you señor but what?!!!! I don’t want to knock your system but as a Texas grad how in the heck are we in the top 5 for losing to a 2 loss Georgia team and no top 25 wins. How is Penn state in the top 5 and hasn’t beaten a top 25 team. How is Indiana above byu and Indiana hasn’t beaten a team the is bowling yet. The metrics you have may be way to scaled to the sec and especially the big 10. I know you have to build them up because they pay for a lot of the show but football and analytics don’t support the case big10 has been a dominant conference in forever. If you want to go off the realignment and viewership then I would say yes they are top notch. No where, shape, or form does viewship make quality football. As a data scientist with the analytics and can still do my own sports passionate eye test do you build the big 10 up when they really haven’t been great. Kind of still aren’t. It’s still OSUs league. Maybe Oregon can make a care but, PSU and indiana. C’Mon man! Time after time Penn state gets ranked way too high and fails. Because they lost to Ohio state they are afforded a good lose? How about they afford themselves a good win over Ohio state. They can’t beat them! Love your show señor. Not sure why your system has Texas, Indiana, and Penn state so high without any quality wins? FYI I’m not vouching for any team nor am I disliking any team. Like I said the analytics don’t support those three teams so why the favoritism just because they are big 10 and now sec?

Notre Dame has the #3 scoring defense. They are giving up the second fewest passing yards per game. Their offense is scoring nearly 40ppg. And yet all Josh Pate talks about is a bad loss they had in week 2. Stupid.

Honestly could care less how anyone feels about Notre Dame. Oregon was in the same situation against an inferior Idaho team, Bama has been there a few times the past couple years... look at them now, and do we hang up on them? No. Let's not pretend these things don't happen to really good teams. I don't think you're a Notre Dame hater, but you seem like you've got a chip and it makes you look petty. Notre Dame will be okay. Just breathe and the chips will fall where they may this season
