The softness of the ACC is enabling Dabo and Clemson to stick with morals and traditions. 9-10 wins a years is a metric a lot of programs would accept but as with Georgia in the final years of the Richt era. Winning 9-10 games and year but never winning meaningful games wasn’t good enough anymore. Clemson has entered that era and teams like Florida st and possibly Miami and heck, maybe Georgia Tech are taking advantage of the system and leaving Clemson in the dark. Great breakdown. I would like to see you do a video on the following: (This critique is not aimed at you because you don't do this.) Why does National Media consistently take a ho-hum attitude toward Georgia even when they are the #1 team in the nation? Why does national media consistently act as if Kirby Smart never had an original thought in his life. EVERYTHING the man does the national media says, "Oh, he learned that from Saban." Guess what? Kirby has been gone from Bama for a decade. He has his own philosophy and is his own man/coach. He is the best motivator in college football, he consistently assembles the best staff in the nation even though multiple of his assistants are now head coaches or left to be head coaches. Yes, he is a great recruiter but he is also an outstanding developer of men and talent. Look how many brand new players scored yesterday. He was tactical on who he took from the portal and then he coached them into fitting in. Meanwhile, all we get from ESPN talking heads is "Oh well, big deal dominated a ranked team. We expected them to be good, Kirby just has 5 stars walk in his door with no effort from him, then he just regurgitates whatever Saban taught him because Kirby only knows what Saban told him he could know, now on to coverage of other, lower ranked teams."

Looking at Clemson’s schedule they could easily win out get a playoff spot and get crushed. If Clemson gets into the playoffs this year it’ll prove there’s to many playoff teams.
@Mox37122 ай бұрын
Yes I agree - I do think they'll gather themselves and do quite well this season. With that said I have always thought 12 is wayyy too many teams. I don't like the idea of a team with say 3-4 losses squeaking into the playoffs and getting the opportunity to beat a team that lost 1 or maybe none during the regular season. Why are we giving sub-par teams the chance to do this??? Reminds me of the wild card crap in baseball - division winners rarely go on to the world series and win because you allow a team that didn't earn a spot in the playoffs to come in hot and beat the division winner.

All I heard this summer was how Clemson and FSU were too good to be playing in the ACC. They might want to rethink the whole “ let’s get out of the ACC” thing. The grass is always greener on the other side.

Clemson had a good team and a generational QB in Lawrence and a very good QB in Watson (both from GA by the way). At one time Lawrence was a UGA lean and then committed to Clemson. If Lawrence had gone to UGA, UGA would have won a couple more championships.

As a Clemson fan, I was pretty optimistic about this game going into halftime. Then I remembered.. UGA makes the BEST halftime adjustments I've ever seen, even dating back to last year. It's like Kirby tells them, do whatever and play defense first half. Second half, all the tricks comes out and Clemson was just unprepared. Clemson's season is not over yet, I can see them making it to the ACC Championship and possibly sliding into the 8-12 spot in the CFB Playoffs

Real Dawg fans weren’t doubting the 6-0 halftime lead… we know Kirby is THE GREATEST coach in the game currently at making halftime adjustments. Zero doubt he will end up as one of the greatest CFB coaches ever 🐶

In Kirby's early days I was thinking Dabo was the only coach I would trade Kirby for given Saben's age. That seems like a long time ago these days.
@DuhQuanNigstixАй бұрын
I respect Dabo's principles and how he's trying to manage his roster and put the focus on the players he recruits. HOWEVER, the mark of a good leader is adaptation. In an era where college football resembles nothing it use to it's imperative Dabo adapts to the new REALITY. He doesn't have to be a Portal extremist like Prime, where you change out your team every year. Dabo should follow the Kirby model, recruit well, develop and retain as many players as possible and fill in the gaps through the Portal when required.

He was confused by the message that Coach Smart gives players in the locker room. He says, "Don't watch the scoreboard." He never says it doesn't matter. Play every play like it's the most important play because it is and then play the next play the same. I think that message resonates better when you're ahead. Go Dawgs!

I thought the most damning thing was dabo apparently not realizing that he was marching his team into a trap that second half. It’s not a secret that the Georgia defense is designed to let you play conservatively and let you lose the game close if you’re disciplined enough to keep that game plan for four quarters. it doesn’t turn into a bloodbath unless the offense gets desperate and starts to take more risks and home run shots instead of taking what the defense gives them. But once you start gambling and trying to take multiple deep shots over the top per drive, then you’re setting up the pass rush to tee off on you, the drives start getting shorter because there’s more 3-7 play drives that end in a punt or a pick, and that gives the Georgia offense even more opportunities to run the score up. It’s only a bloodbath if the opponents abandon their game plan and get greedy, and it’s concerning that dabo can’t recognize that. He’s got no chance at catching up if he can’t see that, honestly.

Georgia is the best team in the country and can still get better. That’s a scary thought for the other 133 FBS teams in college football.

Clemson's Defense came ready and held UGA to 6 points at the half. Clemson's putrid offense has been an Achilles heel for the last 4 years.
@My-byАй бұрын
The first half of that game was the very beginning of the season! The first LIVE FIRE! Of course both teams would be a little rusty! However, the second half was the second game of the season for Georgia, the new feeling of the first live game was OVER! Now it’s time to go out and execute and win this game. It wasn’t that Clemson was bad, the reality is that Georgia is just that good. The only reason it was that close in the first half was because it was the first game of the season.
@XMAN4708Ай бұрын
@My-by Again Clemson's Offense was a non factor of course UGA had something to do with it. The game was a game, but regardless of how great a defense is they simply can't stay on the field but so long. Clemson's Offense didn't sustain much of anything. Taking nothing away from UGA! Clemson's Offense failed them!

As an Alabama fan I’m just so glad Alabama dodged the Dabo Swinney or Mike Norvell bullet. Those two names were tossed around during the extremely short coaching search. Both of which are proving this season that their programs are headed in the wrong direction. So far I couldn’t be more happy with coach DeBoer, from recruiting to what I’ve seen on the football field he seems to have Alabama headed in the same direction Saban had them at. I guess you could say I’m glad we have coach “DeBo” and not coach “Dabo” 😂 Roll Tide!!!

I keep saying this...... Georgia's offense is nearly an identical match to the New England Patriots from 2009-2018. And still noone can stop it with any consistency.
@wesleygary6651Ай бұрын
Huge tight ends, 12-13 personnel groupings, tall and lanky wide receivers with tiny, shifty ultra fast under-recruited white kids, but with a big difference---New England doesn't have the running back pedigree UGA has. Hell-noone does. You can't possible craft a defense to account for all the different variables listed above, but occasionally a loss happens. Go Dawgs. Good luck to our opponents.
