btw josh, i do have a question about what happened w/0:10 left. uo had 12 players on the field, howard throws a quick out that goes incomplete. 0:06 left now, but i thought having too many players at the snap is a dead ball foul. know that's true in the nfl. ducks gave up 5 yds but in exchange burned 4 seconds, which turned out to matter a little bit. have no clue whether than move was intentional or not by lanning/staff; end of game situations, especially in games like this one, can cause confusion. but if it was the strategy, what's keeping that from being repeated in close game/final second scenarios?? obviously there's no guarantee a fg try goes thru the uprights (ie tosu-uga in '22 playoff semi) but that needs to be looked at as a dead ball penalty imho moving forward.

Interesting stat here. Chip Kelly’s record with Oregon and since leaving Oregon. Oregon - 46-7 Post Oregon - 63-69 Oregon fans still consider him the best coach we ever had. If he had stayed he could have become legendary. I never thought we could get another diamond in the rough but getting Lanning and him choosing to stay and plant roots is an awesome feeling. Sky is the limit for him. Taggart record since leaving - 24-30 Mario Cristobol since leaving - 18-13 and that’s with their 6-0 record before this season. Grass is pretty green out here in Eugene.

Just wanted to comment on all the nice reports of fans from Ohio who came out for the game on Saturday to Eugene. Callers to the local radio show are all very complimentary of the OSU fans they met, before, during and after the game. I know it had to be gut-wrenching because of the way the game ended. But the interaction with Buckeye fans proved how decent and courteous Mid West fans are. Good luck to your team going forward. I'd have to guess your team is probably still a strong favorite to win the Big 10 Championship and the National Title.

I'm not happy about Georgia losing Lanning. But man, I'm happy for Dan Lanning and his ability to build that program. He learned under Saban, and Kirby, and took all the things he's learned, and is showing out, out there in Eugene. I am however highly upset that Oregon is not #1 in the AP poll. You know it in your heart of hearts that if Ohio State had won, even by 1 pt that the AP would have them at #1 right now. There is no question about it. It's a fact. But since Ohio State lost they put them right above Georgia, which i'm a little salty about because Georgia, yes, has a loss to a top 5 team, but they also have a win vs a top 10 team (Clemson) which Ohio State doesn't have. So in my own opinion, Ohio State needs to be switched with Georgia this week. Might not even matter because if Georgia loses to Texas, they'll fall a couple spots, and if they win, they'll likely be #2 behind Oregon. But in saying all that i know my Ohio State fans will agree with me here. WHAT THE HELL IS MICHIGAN DOING IN THE TOP 25???? Iowa would beat them this year. If Michigan loses to Illinois, then they'll be kicked out of the top 25, but i'm surprised that the AP still has them in the top 25 now after that crappy loss to Washington 27-17, who Iowa blew out this Saturday 40-16.

Traveling multiple times zones to play in Autzen and Husky stadium is going to be an issue for a few teams in the coming years. Going the other direction to play jet lagged on the east coast is ALSO going to be a problem given there are some very tough environments out east.
