got to remember they are influencers so they probably got a discount for the airing it on their channel. (influencers must inform ahead of time to Media part of companies to inform they will be filming) 500k subscribers and up this is pocket change for influencers. I love their channel, but I tend to wince when they whine about crap that they got for free. You know it's also paid for if not 50 - 100% when they say this is "sponsored" by...... (Also there is almost no negative issues regarding service, etc so you know they got some free stuff from the train ride) I still love his narrations and they are a beautiful couple , they need to do some real stuff for regular people once in awhile. Come back down to earth.

I love trains and would love to enjoy the legend, too, but it's way more money that I want to spend on something like that. Fortunately, for you and for us, you were in a position to do it for us! I was surprised by the lack of people in dining rooms and lounges on board, and by the lack of a private toilet and shower in your room. Even Amtrak has the latter! I know these trains are expensive, but I would LOVE to see you riding more of these legendary trains around the world, and I'll be right along with you (on KZbin, that is). I think the train ride on the eastern & orient through Malaysia was far more impressive, unique and exciting. The details on this ride were lovely but in my experience, not at all at that price point. Having to pay so many extras.. even details like the flowers or the lack of 24/7 service, that should all be there. It seems very much more like the idea of it. The eastern route was actually special, understated elegance and one of those life experiences that seemed truly unusual which stays with you. I suppose this would differ for person to person and based on travel and location experience. But as someone who has paid thousands of dollars for a seat on a plane - I don’t really see the enjoyment here for what you’re getting for that amount. Totally subjective though!

It's like buying a very expensive Ferrari or some such and saying oh but my Honda has more cupholders, who cares you aren't cross shopping them. Likewise this and any other train. Despite all the luxury of the literal Orient Express, it still has the European issue of the beds being perpendicular to the rails. This creates the problem of acceleration and deceleration making one feel like they're gonna fall out of the bed if they're on the upper berth. The U.S has solved this with roomette beds being parallel to the rails and upper berth netting.
