The ocean is warmer in Seattle than it is in San Francisco , and even warmer in Prince Rupert northern BC Canada . Every year they do a thing called the Polar Bear swim in Prince Rupert , in January i think . The water on the north coast comes from the south pacific , not the Arctic . That's why where i live about 2 hours north of Seattle , we have green grass year round and very rarely see snow .

If you want a really good view of Seattle and the puget sound, I'd recommend going to the top of the Columbia tower (the tallest black building). It has an amazing view of the city and the mountains on a clear day

If you're ever there again the Pike Place Market goes up and down from street level. There are maybe 5 levels and they all have cool stuff. Magic stores. Hat stores. A store that sells nothing but wind-up toys. You should also do the underground tour to learn some history of Seattle and have some laughs as well.
