Friend to many, was a living legend in his time, and a man we will always miss. Merle was one in a million. Long live the Hag

When my wife and I watch, The Voice, we notice alot a good voices but there really isn't anything that just jumps out at you. Those people are already discovered.... unless they are 13 years old. What these people will never have, unless they can write it themselves is a number one hit. That is the difference between all the genre music now and back then. If you have the talent for writing and decent/good voice. You'd be a star. You don't have to have pipes like Whitney Houston. Just write and write and write.

Everyone in the music and entertainment business had great respect for him and would have done this for him in a heartbeat. Everyone here was talented as hell but I think Glen was in a class all his own. One of the original members of The Wrecking Crew. Yep the good ole days are gone. They won't air Dukes of Hazard, no Hee Haw, Grand ole Opry, Porter,Cash, show, Even the flag was banned from the General and anyone who knows anything about the south knows the flag was all but racist. The schools took prayer out, no pledge of allegiance. And they don't teach truth in the schools, no ass whipping. And last but not least use to be you had a issue with someone you fought fist to fist. One won the other pulled his balls up and shook hands it was over, now they come back with 5 friends, weapons and try to kill you then say I kicked his ass. What happened the past 30 or so years?

@Jane Marsee True/Respect! We are either fighting a lost battle but still the principality needs taught,......... Or something like that.
@RattenhoofdАй бұрын
@@gregoryb2999 The Confederate States of America were founded primarily in protest of ending slavery, so its flag was racist by definition. Don't take my word for it, take it from the people who started it all and signed a document proclaiming just this in the South Carolina Declaration of Secession.

This was real country. I was 22 in 72.

Back when country was real. Not manufactured crap you see on TV talent shows. These guys and 2 gals had talent and class,not the crap we have now. Today's music should not even be mentioned in the same sentence.

God must have one fantastic country band in heaven with all the wonderful country singers we have lost and now He is waiting on a few more. Thankfully I have all their cd's. Nothing like traditional country.

Those people put "Country" in "Country Music". My Lord, they were all the greatest, and they did leave us with their memories, what more could we ask for. Merle, Glenn, Buck, Jerry, Mel, June & Johnny, Freddie Hart, and Minnie Pearl, God Bless you all. RIP
