PSA does all this talking about innovation like improving the grading process, vaulting, and partnering with selling platforms. The list goes on and on. How about this for an innovation - open more grading sites. There should be at least four different sites broken up by region. More jobs, quicker turnaround times, more people submitting cards. So many positives to doing this.

His submission by mail: He gets approx 20% PSA 10 (near 1/3rd are 8s) His submission in person: He gets approx 80% PSA 10 (no 8s at all?) This is statistically impossible unless favoritism is in play (or blame it on fake human error/judgement). Both submissions had same outlook on cards, pre-screened for high 9-10, both accounting for modern cards only. Sample size is smaller for this reveal but is still incredibly telling. Whether they know same details by mail or inperson, I have seen already 3 instances where statistical improbabilities and unforeseen outliers are evident. I never grade cards for this reason, it is wildly controlled against consumers and foul play is a concern. I am not wholly against grading, but people who act on reason, morale, logic, and common sense should reconsider grading cards.

It's because you no longer have to have 4 sharp corners to get a PSA 10. They even grade cards with paper loss PSA 10's. Really lowered their standards

Geoff, well done. I am in the minority here: Once you submit for years to PSA, you get a better sense how harsh you must grade your own cards. The more I grade myself, the better my grades have been, as I have been more harsh on my own cards. Excellent video. P.S. the Pokemon was a nice add, those three cards in a psa 10 are quite a lot.

Try to submit a Pete Maravich 1972 icee bear. A PSA 10 on that card sells for $18,000. There are only 11 PSA 10. It is one of the coolest looking basketball cards. Maravich's background is all clouds and all the other cards in the set are a plain background.

Yep 100% agreed. A random person like myself wldnt of got that many 10s. I sent in 12 wemby prizm rookoes or select all pack fresh, thrn sleeved and I got four of those 10s and the rest 9s

Congrats on the reveal but about half of those tens would have been 9’s if it was some random joe sending in those cards into psa. He should have submitted all those 1980’s tops baseball and basketball fleer when PSA knew it was Geoff cards and a few more of those 9 would have been 10’s. You can’t get a 10 on 1980’s through 93 on any cards unless you know too PSA people or sent them in late 90’s though 00’s. It’s about pop control. PSA is a sorta scam on some grades.

PSA charges you (starting!) at *16%* !?!? LMAO! eBay as well typically charges around 12% … I can see why the PSA guy was super uncomfortable telling the fee prices (stuttering) I would be too. 😂 *That means you’re gonna pay STARTING around 28% on your sale* - that is RIDICULOUS! Speaking of PSA vault, what about my Jordan Auto that I listed with PSA vault to sell on EBay, buyer never paid which happens all the time, and my card is now stuck in limbo with it being noted as “awaiting payment” lol, it’s been 4 months and still can’t do anything. Contacted PSA and they just tell me they’re working on it. Are you kidding me. What a joke. eBay vault was perfect the way it was. Thanks eBay for selling out.

I actually stopped doing slabs.. I really began to enjoy patch/jersey cards why?? 1) they’re so unique and 2 of the same card will be different 2) no one really cares about grading them… you’re mainly looking for just a sick patch… and no one expects high grades on thick cards… so not being graded won’t impact them almost at all

They didn’t mention they steal your slabs. The min price crap is broken. I put starting bid $10 on tons of auctions. They all started at 99 cents. Many ended $4. And the fee to list is $5. So they just stole my cards. It said item sold $4. Minus $4 listing fee. Proceeds $0. Cards gone. Awful makes me wanna quit hobby. How is this legal nat turner 😢😢😢

Nat Turner can't accept the fact that I discovered the 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan Sticker Reverse Error and won't accept for grading because there's not enough in circulation and isn't recognized by the hobby as an official error card. That's because it was just discovered in 2021 so of course it doesn't have much history. I've since found one more so now 2 are known to exist. PSA needs to recognize these cards!

Why on earth would anyone pay extra fees to vault their cards? Maybe I just don’t get it but I want my cards with me. I can ship them if I ever sell them.
