I actually agree 2 million is too low if you can project into the future. A card like that will eventually be more sought after than ANY of his 90s serial numbered cards. I love his 90s stuff but it's very niche while the Star 101 is Jordans 1st licensed NBA card. No other card can boast that. And in high grade like PSA 9 1 million will be a steal in another 5 years while his 90s serial numbered cards will be forgotten about

The 1984 STAR Jordan 101 is THE Rookie card. The 1986 Fleer is a 3rd year iconic card. Extremely popular the 86 Fleer is.... but calling it a RC is incorrect.

Facts - The Star Jordan was also an licenced NBA product. For decades, PSA would NOT grade Star Jordan’s because these cards were reproduced and counterfeited. And now they do. Go figure. If I am collecting a Jordan rookie I prefer the Fleer.

Even though it's a 2nd year National card, it's still a RC. A non-numbered PSA 9 went for 3K, so Mr. Dolphin should have held out for more. He'll be lucky to sell those three cards for $1,000. A "rookie" Wemby /10 is worth at least twice the 4K he accepted.

The modern card market... the bottom is going to DROP dramatically. Why? Because Major League Sports are going to become WAY less popular. I think the Vintage Card Market will hold its value but still drop some. But anything can happen with Vintage Cards. Because they evoke emotions in People. One of my Holy Grails? This is off the top of my head from the 80's -- A King Kelly - Boston - Leather Pennant: a pre 1900 Redemption if you will...

That seemed like a poor approach to give the Dolphins guy fair value. For someone who consistently deals in higher end cards, twisting the logic to make the card seem worse than it is was deceitful. I understand he’s also an adult who could have said no but to push something like a Sam Darnold on him and manipulate the conversation by bringing up a completely different year of a card that is non numbered felt like the wrong approach. The conversation should have been about educating the owner and not just how much can I lowball. If you still can strike a deal, fine but this was a a bad look.

I was YELLING at the 1st guy not to sell the Wemby. He should've had it graded. It's his true rookie, just a late issue as the 2nd season hasn't even started yet but it's also out of only 10 cards + Wemby most likely will be GOAT if he stays on trajectory. Wemby is also a dark horse MVP his 2nd season. He should've had it graded! 🤷‍♂

so how do you tell a possible trade partner, that you (we) don't know if this 1 of 10 card is actually a 1 of 50 or 100 or 299 , we just don't know, that's wild the Dolphins fan didn't catch that either, one of ten, means exactly that, this card is serial numbered 1 of 10 that are in existence...period..
