Its crazy how subs can handle so much more power than rated to handle. I've always wanted to but was afraid of destroying the subs so I tried to match what the company lists for rms.

All ways better to over power than under power. Just be careful if its an everyday driver, you can shorten your subs life by way over powering alot. These show cars are made for the purpose of being loud and get their woofers replaced way cheaper than you and me.

Yes you are right but most people dont know how to set clean power on their amps, they think their amp has a volume control which it doesnt. Which in turn they use a 200 watt amp to run a 800 watt sub and over heat the coil and their amp. You know as well as i do means something is going to fail.

Steve did build a vehicle that is tuned low and does 60 reliably and looks clean and that was for his friend chicken in the Cadillac. Now when it comes to comparing subs the smd is in my opinion better than psi platform 3s fully upgraded. Yes loud isn't always pretty but you can't try and bash a master installer & craftsman bass head. And especially compare it to someone's personal well built 60s build. Big funding difference . Both builders are knowledgeable and deserve respect
