You are right of course, the assumptions of the commentators were ridiculous. Keep in mind though: In the '80's level was OFF. That is to say, you usually needed daylight between you and the defender or expect to be called off. And directives were NOT to give benefit of the doubt to the attacker. You generally needed to be very deep to reasonably expect an onside call. Belgium did not feel as ripped off at the time as we think now. It was normal. You really had to EARN goals in the '80's lol

Yes, there was Maradona magic. But those 2 "off side" call by the referee Mr. Silva was doubtful.Then the rhythm of the match would be different. Even then we will agree , Argentina could come back. Argentina was really a Champion in the 1986 WC tournament. Maradona makes the sports called "Football- Soccer" so beautiful. Cheers!
